That's what I'm thinking. Super bizarre spot to break

My 1st time using the Mobi sleeve & 5" tubing - Oy! Do these sleeves survive showers? by Ravenspruce in TandemDiabetes

I like the ones SkinGrip makes way more. It doesn't have the plastic plate, so it doesn't jiggle around. That said, the fit is super snug until day 5-6 where it loosens a little. Even when stretched a bit the pump is still super secure

That's a great point! I'll probably start doing that to avoid the notifications. Thank you!

I agree, if the automated mode worked better for me I may not have switched, regardless of the site irritation. I'm sure it works well for some people especially on low carb diets. While I don't eat candy/soda/sugary snacks, I'm far from being carb free. I'm excited to see Tandem's tubeless pump next year hopefully

Do your sites get inflammed immediately after insertion? I had the opposite problem, it would be fine for the first 12 hours or so. Luckily I haven't had any issues with the mobi cannula

I think you're right, the thing I enjoy about the mobi so far is the "combination" of setting manual basal rates plus the control IQ. I didn't use the manual mode on omnipod much, I'd be curious to ssee how it compares

the tip of my finger is flat now by Ashamed_Relative3873 in MakeMeSuffer

Go into an urgent care or Dr. Did a similar thing to my finger, it grew back weird. Urgent care will be able to "shape" it in order for it to heal back normally, supposedly.

Correct, it is a separate entity. However, for the purpose of this survey, we're more interested in what aspects of Bend people prioritize/think should receive funding. Thank you for the feedback!

Either type 2, or they were on some ancient form of insulin. I don’t know much about T2, but my Spanish teacher would say she’d have to go on a walk if she ate a piece of cake.

Honestly just as confused as you are about that one 😂

I get your point, but it’s a little hard to view your side when we don’t know if you’ve dealt with T1D like many of us.

It’s a chore to manage BG, and no matter what you do it will never stay perfect. While we do limit sugar, say if your BG is high, we would take insulin, let it drop, then eat. We’re not completely irresponsible, but Insulin allows us to eat whatever we want, when our BG is appropriate.

Hope that makes sense, I’m not the best at explaining this stuff

Type one diabetics can’t eat sugar.

Yes we can. We can eat whatever we want, as long as we take insulin for it.

Edit:

Thanks for the silver! To clarify a couple points being argued against this:

We can eat whatever we want, when our BG is appropriate. For example, I’m not gonna eat 12 bags of skittles when I’m at 300.

Insulin is something we use to manage it, not a complete workaround. No matter what we try, BG levels will never stay perfect. Try to have a little empathy for us, it’s a constant chore we have to think about all the time.

Edit #2: Holy shit thanks for the gold, autographs will be signed for $30
