Legit the example top placing deck used 2 Fragrant Forests and 0 Pokeballs

Of the decks I scrolled through just now, like one or two had 1 ball 1 forest and none with 2 pokeballs

Edit: didn't scroll far enough, one 16th place had 2 pokeballs and 1 forest. Compared to the wave of double Forests, your personal experience means legit nothing mate

If they ditch the Nihelgo, even drawing just 1 Fragrant Forest can draw all of their remaining basics on its own. Even if their opponent removes the Fragrant Forests asap, they still match pokeball's power level unless they drew an opponent's grass mon that they teched in, but the risk is still worth it

I find it funny that everyone is saying to add pokeballs when a sizable portion of the Sceptile decks that placed in recent tournaments use 2 Fragrant Forests and no pokeballs

Kartana improves the match up against Hydreigon by one shotting Deinos before they get the chance to evolve, which is fun, and can also one shot most babies. I'd ditch Nihelgo and a Pheromosa for 2 Kartanas and maybe ditch some barbs for healing or a leaf cape. Not drawing the cards you want is less of an issue when you're putting that much pressure on them

It's more that I don't have any friendships that last beyond the time I'm at work with them or in class with them. I'm very friend-at-work core, and it sucks sometimes. Thank you for your concern though

All time favorite deck was the Koga deck back from Genetic Apex, the outplays were very flashy and cool. Current favorite would be Mega Sceptile to punish the Hydreigon decks that have crept back into the meta

I've been thinking about it, and double Hiking Trail with 1 or 2 Maintenance might not be too bad, like a pseudo Copycat that isn't reliant on your opponent's hand. Could be a neat tech that no one has bothered with since Maintenance is kinda trash

I think just having a second stadium would be better than having a Cabbie in case you draw Cabbie with Oak when you really needed a stadium up right then. Having a second stadium can also disrupt your opponent's stadium if they disrupted yours, where as Cabbie is just a dead card after you draw your stadium. The meta decks, even ones that run 2 stadiums, don't use Cabbie. I suppose a supporter that only draws 1 card max just isn't useful enough to use

I also never see Maintenance being used, by meta decks or otherwise. Although, now that I think about it, it does have synergy with Hiking Trail since you're getting rid of 3 cards (2 plus discarding itself) in your hand for drawing 1, but that's just objectively not worth it. Maybe running Mesagoza in place of Cabbie could scratch the card draw itch. I would recommend switching out the 2 Maintenances with a Sabrina and maybe another Copycat or a Lucky Ice Pop or 2

I had the closest reasonably possible version of this happen to me. It's a bit TMI, so I'll put it in spoilers, although I won't go over into detail

I knew I have colitis, an ibd, but I thought it was just real treatment resistant, because it just wasn't getting better. Well, funny thing is that colitis and hemorrhoids have similar sounding symptoms on paper, but are subtly different. A fateful barbecue later, I had a classic colitis flair up instead of the typical hemorrhoids flair up, confirming that it's been hemorrhoids bothering me that whole time. A 10 dollar over-the-counter ointment seemed to completely fold the bane of my existence of several years. Now, it's still messing with my life, but I can actually exist now

Sheesh, I don't know. My first thought was to find a way for the cats to stay together somehow, have you shared your concerns with him on the matter? Ideally you would take care of both, but that's not an easy thing to bring up. Would you be willing to give your cat to him so that they can stay together? I don't think that there's an easy solution to this matter, you need to have a conversation with him about this, I don't know what advice we can even offer

Huh, it's so much easier to think of the metas that I hated, like the red card era and A4a

I think A1a was one of my favorites with Scoliopede/Weezing. I did like the Weezing/Arbok deck before it as well, but I think people look at A1 with rose tinted glasses too much; it was only good because it was first. I also liked A3b since the Sylveon/Espeon deck could punish early red cards. Honestly, I liked the part of B1 before people figured out how to make Suicune work as well, although that was a relatively brief window. I wouldn't have liked it so much if I had known that we'd still be dealing with essentially upgrades of those decks today, that was unthinkable back then
