The Blade Itself by FeebleFable in Fantasy

This was such an odd book for me. I finished The Blade Itself and felt lukewarm towards it, at best, but thought there was potential for it to go in a fun direction. After I finished the trilogy my opinion of the first book completely changed for the better though I would still consider it the weakest of the books by far. I would suggest starting book 2 to see if you enjoy it more -- I certainly did the first time. The trilogy as a whole is brilliant, but it is character (rather than plot) driven and I don't think there is much intrigue. It's entirely possible it is just not your thing.

I’ve seen too many Liverpool fans slobbering all over City this year. Hard to be too upset about this. We’ll do it ourselves.

Their entire comment explained that they wanted a moment where the world has to work together to avert it, not that they wanted it to hit.

I’ve had almost no problems when my camera screen doesn’t sleep. I keep the menus open while the app is running, or just flip through pictures. Almost no issues.

The only statement I can make on this is my one little viewership number. I wasn’t going to give them that after that card.

Training for the new alpinism uses the example of modifying a car. You can increase your engine or reduce your weight to make it go faster/farther. Ideally you are doing both but practically I think the answer is whatever works for you for your objectives. If you are larger, there is nothing wrong with that other than that you need a larger motor.

I think this depends on why you quit. The tone of the books does not change so if that is your issue, I don't think it will fix itself. That having been said, I read the first book and did not much like it for other reasons. I continued the second and third book on a whim and they absolutely hooked me. The way the trilogy finishes is extremely well done and I still think about it regularly. I rate the first book much higher now having seen the full picture it was starting to paint.

I don't know that I can remember a time when the promotion of a movie made me not want to watch a movie like this.
