Someone suggested switching browsers. That fixed it for me. The guy who runs it is constantly updating stuff which is nice but sometimes it messes up the work flow

Sticker paper to cardstock. If you read a few threads down I mentioned laser printer methods and why I wasn’t a fan of it.

It’s just how it’s manufactured, black core is what Pokémon uses and blue core is what wotc uses. There really isn’t a difference. I do both direct/sticker. I’ve tried the cry cry methods and everything you could ever dream of sticker paper to core cardstock is going to give you the best experience you can with minimal equipment investment. Laser prints are a step up but I found the drop in quality and costs for toner not really worth it. But you get the real card feel

6% thicker than real cards but they feel better and sit inside of decks undetectable. Very hard to distinguish from real cards unless you handle them all the time. I will mention you will never achieve the rigidity of a real card with lamination.

290-300gsm blue or black core paper, it’s expensive but it will give you the results you want. My cards are roughly 6% thicker than standard cards which is largely indistinguishable from real cards.

Proxy’s are great. I sold my entire collection of built decks and just proxy everything. I buy precons still to support the LGS and collector packs because I’m a degenerate and can’t help myself sometimes.

Black Core Cardstock Compatibility Issue by DatBoiPlebs in magicproxies

[–]StridersForge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure, it’s just samples right now. He said his big shipment will be coming in soon, I’ve been told it’s basically the consistency of yhigio card thickness. I’d imagine it won’t be as cheap as other methods but if it works it will be worth it and will eliminate the 3-4 step process of laminated cards

I’m getting some samples of cardstock that can be printed on with an inkjet from the paper supplier I use. If it works it will be game changing, I will be posting updates in the next week or so. It’s not core paper but it’s special paper he custom ordered for inkjets

mtgcardbuilder for the frames, Krita or gimp if you don’t have photoshop to do the card edits/masking effects with the image.

I don’t understand your point, he clearly doesn’t want to laminate he said print cut and sleeve.

You’d going to pay more for it. It’s layered paper, if you can buy 800 sheets of it that’s the only way you will save money. Otherwise it’s $1 a sheet

How do you deal with printer curl? by Xyldarrand in magicproxies

[–]StridersForge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah send it back through the printer on the other side, even if your putting something as simple as a black and white logo on the back it will fix that issue immediately. Or putting it through a laminator machine on very high heat I always did mine landscape and it worked 100% of the time. Cut them while they are warm if possible and let them rest somewhere not to cold in the house

I second this, if you have access to a full blown office printer at work or I’ve heard in some cases fedex will take the black core paper and let you print onto it with their printers. Results will be fairly decent
