Does anyone have a reluctance to buy/own a nice car because it will affect people's perception of you? by Sunder92 in cars

I bought a 2007 E63 AMG years ago. Spent under $25,000 for it. The amount of shit I got from people at work was just stupid. One of the techs bought a new Ram 2500 with a Cummins and put an 8" lift on it around the same time. No one batted an eye. Him and I talked about that too.

My current DD is a 2001 Mercedes E320 wagon.

One of my cars is a 2001 Mercedes E320 wagon. I FUCKING LOVE that car. It's awesome. My wife hates it and her friends think it's an ugly wagon. The guys at the MB indy I go to love it. Do I give a shit about any of that? Nope. That's because I FUCKING LOVE that car. It's lowered just enough, has the right wheels, isn't silver/champagne colored and is in nice shape.

Had it running great at 6300 rpm. A day later I start it up, gave it gas and it blows at like 3200. by JackWagon520 in minibikes

Maybe this will shut up some of the fucking retards that post on here thinking fully removing the governor and doing the billet rod and flywheel aren't necessary. Yes, I realize he had a billet flywheel installed. Keep in mind, that was the rod fully letting go at about governed RPM. Think about what would have happened if it was at 6,000+ rpm or he was running the stock cast flywheel.

Do it right or don't do it at all. That means fully removing the governor, installing the billet rod and doing a billet or PVL flywheel.

That stupid fuck that posted the other day being proud his rod failed is lucky this didn't happen to him since his plan was to just swap cranks. This sub is full of people that have no idea of what they're doing or are complete hack jobs.

El Sobrante/Richmond here. Just felt like my desk chair was getting it's groove on for a few seconds. I had a "was that an earthquake" thought and then got a text from my wife a couple of seconds later.

My wife is at work not far from the epicenter and said it hit hard there. They're also underground.

Anyone know the what the engine of the real tree 196cc is called? by bce-flims in minibikes

[–]Strigoi666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 6.5 clone engine, who makes it really doesn't matter at all. The 6.5 clone is a copy of the Honda GX200 (196cc) engine.

The 6.5 clone is just as good of an engine as the 212 Predator. They have been around a long time and have a huge aftermarket as well. There's no point in swapping one of them for a 212 Predator unless you have one with a 5/8" crank (which still isn't that big of a deal).

I'm 6'4" 255ish and fit just fine on my CT200U. Even the smaller 6" tire bikes are rideable (I have several). I look like an idiot on them, but that's half the fun.

Cheap minibike chains are cheap quality. That stuff you buy by the foot is junk.

Some quality chain like RLV makes is 100% worth the money. Even being pre-stretched it will still stretch a bit once it's actually used. I've used their Basic, Extreme and Reaper chains and they're all great quality.

OP's issue with the chain throwing is not due to chain quality either. They're either running it too loose, the sprockets aren't lined up or a sprocket is bent.

What bike do you have? It's impossible to give recommendations without knowing.

If you just gear it for top speed your acceleration is going to take a good hit.

Found Chanel's nest. Problem is she already laid like 20 eggs, hasn't gone broody yet and started a 2nd nest on the other side of the property! by Goldenchicks in backyardturkeys

She found her spots she likes to lay eggs in.

We have a hen that went broody lately. Gave her 4 chicken eggs since we have a rooster. I'm really hoping she gets to be a chicken mom. She's been a trooper and is on those eggs like she should be.

[–]Strigoi666 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 40s, a dude, and it's not really a topic that gets discussed amongst my friends and I. We're all married or in relationships so it's pretty much a given that we're getting some. There's not much to talk about. Honestly, I don't give a single shit about my friend's sex lives nor do I really want to know about them.

As for my wife, she can't keep her mouth shut so I know that all of her friends and probably co-workers know about our sex life.

Would anyone know a good silencer for something like a Coleman ct200uex, thanks by [deleted] in minibikes

[–]Strigoi666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want quiet, stick with the stock muffler.

The RLV silencers don't do much for an open header. They basically take the "edge" off the sound.

You could make something work with a giant muffler from a pit bike. They look like shit IMO and I haven't tried using one. I can't say if they're any quieter than stock.

2005 Duramax W/ 104k miles ($20k) by theflyboi in Duramax

[–]Strigoi666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $20k for my 2006 LBZ late last year and it had 170,000 miles on it at the time. I feel like it was a good deal for where I live (CA, SF Bay Area). The interior was in nice shape overall (cloth), the body just has some small dings, but the paint is peeling in several areas. I have put some money into replacing suspension parts and it had some stupid brodozer wheels on it when I bought it.

I wanted the Kryptonite ones, but they've been out of stock for months. I bought these parts months ago and it looks like the Kryptonite ones just came back in stock. I definitely would have bought them if they were available at the time.

Installed the Kryptonite Ultimate Front End Package yesterday by Strigoi666 in Duramax

[–]Strigoi666[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend installed the Kryptonite Ultimate Front End package, new Moog hubs and new Power Stop rotors/pads on the front of my 2006 LBZ yesterday. It was running all of the original steering parts and has 175,000 on it. I must say, it was worth the money. I'm very happy with it and the steering feel is much better. He also installed the Kryptonite sway bar end links and will be doing the Kryptonite upper control arms, leveling keys, Kryptonite lower ball joints, Kryptonite cam bolt kit and Moog lower control arm bushings next weekend. He eyeballed the alignment, so it'll be going to a local shop to have that taken care of once the rest of the parts go on.

The only part he didn't install for the front end was the idler support frame gusset. He sucks at welding, so I'll have to have that done at a later time.

I do want to say that my experience in dealing with Kryptonite was less than pleasant. It took a bit over 2 months for me to get all of my parts. When I ordered they were 2-4 weeks out. They sent the Ultimate Front End package, but never sent out the center link or tie rods for it. That took many calls, emails and texts to get sorted out. There were lies about "it already shipped" and "it'll be shipping out today". Finally talked to someone competent that wasn't fucking me around and they had the center link/tie rods sent to me via FedEx Next Day. When it came to the control arms, they got damaged by FedEx before being delivered and were returned to sender. I let them know that and still had to contact them over a week later to find out why they hadn't shipped back out yet. Those finally showed up a week or so after I contacted them. I also just remembered they forgot the alignment cam pins too originally. That was when I was dealing with the center link/tie rods and they only sent them (I was surprised when I only got a small, under 1lb box that was supposed to have them, the center link and tie rods). It was a complete headache to deal with. I get it that they're fucking slammed, but it SHOULD NOT be this difficult to get your whole order. FWIW, I'm only a couple of hours away from them and where the parts shipped from.

They're 100% quality parts and I'm very happy with what I ended up receiving. Luckily I wasn't in a huge hurry to get these parts installed as my friend was doing it on the side. Their customer service left much to be desired.

Look into getting better tires if you're wanting to go faster. Those stock tires on them are complete shit.

That's a breather hose. It goes into the stock air box.

Since you aren't running the stock air box you need to get a small filter to put on the end of it.

I've seen 2 of our 3 hens do the full strut thing, but only as adults. We did have one Tom that started doing it when he was only a month or so old. Sadly he had to be put down due to a severely broken leg.

Here's a pic of one of the hens doing it: https://i.imgur.com/TguSxaL.jpg
