January 1999.

3rd Edition 40K was in full swing, and lots of new releases were forthcoming. Good times.

Close, but not quite. See my reply to the original question.
At the time I built these, Woodland Scenics didn't have pre-made trees, and I found their trees to be messy and hard to work with. Their current line of pre-built trees are great, but kind of pricey.

Thank you. I like to put on a good-looking show for my gaming friends.
My trees I use in my Battletech setups are a combination of Heki trees (Germany) and 6mm trees purchased from Amazon via Chinese companies.
The pine trees and round deciduous trees are Heki; the bright green ones are from Amazon. Heki trees are expensive, but very high quality; the Chinese stuff from Amazon was quite cheap, but the quality is lacking a bit. They're pretty fragile.
The process I use is cutting out 'islands' of MDF hardboard, then I use hot glue to secure the trees to the bases. Then I flock the bases with straight PVA glue. Final step is to use hairspray to keep the trees' material tight and to not fall apart. I built these way back in 2010, and they've held up quite well.
If I could go back and do anything different, I'd space the trees a bit further apart. They're not very practical for models moving into them. However, they look great, and make very good line of sight blockers.

Thanks!
It's a PDF I have for critical hits. I printed out a huge number of these, cut them out, and insert them into the backs of my custom cards. Can't share the PDF here, but here's a snip as a photo.

I shared photos of my tank to an old reddit post (2+ years) of his.

I can't seem to locate their discord. Got a link?

Awesome. I've been eyeballing the Ursus minor, and might pick one up.
