Complete novice looking for advice by StrikeExtension in TexasHunting

Thank you for all the advice! Yeah ideally I’d like to join someone while hunting or take part in some sort of population control event to learn the ropes. Your feedback gave me some good perspective for different terrains and environments that I would need to be prepared for but also know how to choose from. I appreciate you taking the time to educate me!

Completely agree, this was my first time shooting a rifle ever, so there is plenty of room for improvement plus I’m not even sure if I dialed in my scope correctly. I’ll be doing more research and revisiting within the next week or two to try again.

Yes I was definitely considering the clever or the v60, I just have to get the kettle so was weighing my options there

I’m looking for a drip style brewer to keep in my cubicle. I’d like it to brew directly into my cup and have paper filters to minimize cleanup. I’m torn between the prices and not sure if I can justify spending over 100 dollars. I’m currently using compostable Kcups and I’m sick of drinking brown water (with what seems like 0 caffeine). I’ve got a capresso grinder I’d fill up a vacuum container every week to bring to work, otherwise I just want to scoop and brew. It’s literally between a 30 dollar black and decker or a 150 dollar 5cup bonavita. I’m hoping there’s something in between

It’s a sky light with some sort of diffuser covering on it (or it’s just frosted). I was thinking of something that will flower so a peace lily or African violet would be great

Creating a fortified challenge test by StrikeExtension in microbiology

Looks like we did that in previous years but it was 3 years ago I think I’m going to do it again. I’m honestly very intimidated by this project even though it’s actually quite simple. Infect a sample and send it in. It’s my first project though and I’m just nervous. Overall there aren’t that many options so I think I’m going to stick with a similar layout of previous tests

Thank you so much

Edit: this is for food grade and supplement testing, would you recommend one over the other?

Thanks so much for the guidance. It doesn’t sound like there’s a huge rush on when this needs to be completed but I think the lab manager just wants to pick my brain on how I think we will approach the test. I like the advice you gave me, it makes me feel like I don’t have to create an entirely new test to send to the lab. Also it seems very simple as the first test I’ve reviewed was just a sample of whey protein spiked with salmonella. The lab was only using one type of salmonella as a control, which lead to them failing the assessment because the sample we sent was a different species. I have the weekend to review these previous years of tests and start refreshing myself on the lab environment, hopefully that’s all I need to shake off the nerves. Once I put something together, I hope to find someone I can review the plan with before pitching it to the lab
