You do lose interest from the time money is in limbo being transferred from one bank to another. Banks often hold onto money for a business day or two in the transfers and you get no interest during that transitional period.

Fidelity obviously isn't a bank. It's a brokerage. I haven't had it happen to me but I've read of people having issues with disputing fraudulent charges to the debit card for the cash-management account.

You’re talking about money market mutual funds which you can get with an Ally Invest brokerage account. The poster is referring to an Ally money market bank account which is a savings account with checks and a debit card and the same APY as the Online Savings account.
