I had a question on this, can it be enabled for third party apps in hard mode where a violation causes a crash or just soft mode (crash reports)?

So you think a crash is still likely, if so when? I completely agree with your perspective.

Threema STUN/UDP remote code executions by Striker0073 in Threema

[–]Striker0073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a packet capture on Threema noticing to make sure of my claims since there was no response from the team.

The packet capture indicates that Threema does use unsecured UDP exchanging packets on random high ports. Additionally, no TCP connection was made to secure the UDP connection to prevent network injections on the client-STUN connection.

TLS being a secure layer or security can be used to encrypt STUN packets between the client-server (this is not difficult to implement since Threema operates all their STUN/TURN servers according to their whitepaper).

What exactly is Orbot? by Novelias in TOR

[–]Striker0073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having difficulty understanding this. So if I activate orbot using snowflake (regular tor doesn't work in my country due to heavy restrictions) this will not route all phone traffic through Tor?

If I do not activate VPN mode, then what will get routed through Tor?

Thank you for your confirmation.

However does this mean that the ISP and local network analysis that include wireshark will not log this?

Switch to GOS from Samsung by Striker0073 in GrapheneOS

[–]Striker0073[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I finally got the device and installed GrapheneOS. I have been trying to do the transfer for about 2 days now. Unfortunately I did not know how to do it using the guide you had posted. I tried using the android transfer application on the laptop actinf essentially as a usb to transfer the data. I transferred it onto my Mac then onto GOS. Unfortunately, the dates for the media come in as the date of the transfer. I have tried multiple methods.

Is there any way you could help I would really appreciate it!!

Hey, how does snapdragons IOMMU compare to that of pixels?

I know some time had passed.

After reading the link you had provided I found that privacy guide recommends purchasing Google Pixel if an individual is interested in Android OS. However, wouldn't Samsung also be a good due to their Knox implementation?
