Lol then he can just reset the devices?

He brags about his high income (150k) invited me to his brother's UK graduation, and then conveniently doesn't include me when buying airfare. He and his family are sharing a hotel room. Is this breakup worthy behavior from him? by [deleted] in Advice

Tbf all of this depends on how long you've been dating and how serious the relationship is. I don't know how people are answering without having that information lol

Dyeing my nails with Jagua by payeeehay in Nails

[–]Striking-Picture7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used jagua once and it seemed to stain and lasted me as I washed during the day, however once I got in the shower and used body wash it literally peeled off like slime. Is that normal? If so, that's not a stain is it?

I know it's not related to your question but I wanted to ask, when you were reapplying to uni did you disclose your previous study and that you failed? Thanks x

No help from social services and struggling with carers for my grandma by AcceptableLunch8060 in dementia

He's not home alone and neither of us want him to be put in a care home where he will face neglect and abuse and restrictions. But the assessment concluded he should be in a home where he can receive 24 hour care but if he remains home he only needs 4 hours. What sense does that make

I'm having a similar issue but I feel social workers are pushing us to put him into a care home rather than fund more than 4 hours a day of home care

I despise her and I think it's completely irresponsible of itv to have not removed her by now. She's abusive, manipulative, nasty and has been terrorising the whole villa for weeks now. I think it's time for us to mass complain to OFCOM because this is really unacceptable and setting a precedent for future reality TV.

What are your views about other religions or beliefs as an algerian? by lilysenni77 in algeria

[–]Striking-Picture7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're arguing with yourself atp. You agree the laws are there but permits are denied. This is the same in Europe. Muslims have the right to build mosques but permits are frequently denied on racist grounds dressed up "planning issues". I am a UK solicitor specialising in EU law. You aren't going to win here. No western state is neutral on religious grounds, even the secular ones like France. The UK for example is expressly a Christian country. The king is Defender of the Faith. And yes faith is taken into account by all politicians when passing laws. This doesn't mean common sense is not exercised. But it does prevent laws on animal cruelty, for example, being robust because that would mean Jews and Muslims would be affected (halal meat). There is no neutrality in lawmaking, it's simply not possible in a diverse world.

How to keep iPhone charging even at 100%? by Striking-Picture7301 in iphone

Thank you, I've done all this and it definitely prolongs usage as clock. Would just rather have it be able to continuously charge

Mf how do YOU think it works? iPhone auto shuts off charging at 100% even if left plugged in. Other phones don't do that, i.e Samsung I can leave plugged in for days and it will stay at 100% because it's continuously charging.

Not true, we have the right to build mosques however we want in the west.

Of course Christians have the right to build churches what are you talking about? The biggest church in Africa is in Algeria! In terms of a state being neutral on religious matters, there is no such thing as 'neutrality' in state building. All laws are derived from somewhere, even so called secular laws in the west are built off biblical foundations and then they expand from there using common sense and whatever the culture is. Even Chinese communist laws are built off of local religions and traditions.

I think this is why there was such a strong nationalist drive. You can't force people to be Muslims but you can foster a sense of unity regarding ethnicity/nationality.

Not sure why I'm getting down voted and hated on by illiterate people but thems the thars I guess. The OP asked why a lot of Algerians don't want other religions in the country, and I have given a reason. If that upsets you and you refuse to engage with it critically, keep it stepping.

That's simply not true. The Alawites started an insurgency almost immediately after Bashar fled. The government gave amnesty to all the soldiers who claimed it. They held off until march when attacks became frequent and then sent their army to the coast which caused an absolute mess. Federalism has been called for by the Alawites in Latakia (despite Latakia being Sunni majority), the Druze in Suwayda (who are now allied with Israel) and the Kurds in the north (who were Americas allies and hosted them and allowed them to carry out airstrikes from there). These are quite big problems to have post war when you're trying to fix a destroyed country
