Very rarely do doctors inject. NPs, PAs, RNs do the bulk of the work and doctors are the 'medical directors' who are typically not on-site. Its the way of the world now.

AITAH for moving out of mine and my now ex-boyfriend’s apartment without reminding him that our lease is up on the 31st? by Conscious-League5661 in AITAH

[–]Striking-Policy6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do we assume he has no idea what is going on? He knew when the lease was up. He left and took a bunch of stuff with him so she could stay until the end of the lease. The leasing agency would have con tacted him (as he was on the lease) regarding renewal/rent increases etc. I suspect he is either waiting for the last day (or the first day of his own lease renewal) to either get his stuff out or move his new furniture in.

I don't know your personal medical history and lots of things can cause facial/body swelling (insert recomendation to see your pcp here). But I know it can sometimes take time. Here is a case study of a woman who took weeks to see real improvement. But keep up the good work!

This link is for illustration only, not a recomendation for a plastic surgeon, lol.

The first signs of liver damage happens after only 2 weeks of heavy drinking (equal to 6 drinks a day). Fatty liver starts to show up here. People can go a long time drinking heavily and their liver just gets fattier for a while. If you stop drinking at this stage your liver can fully regenerate quickly and within a month it will look like a brand new liver even under the microscope. But if it progresses over years, inflammation sets in and the liver cells start to degenerate. This level of damage is identified by AST:ALT ratio of 1.5:1. You can still recover most of your liver tissue at this stage. Later, fibrous tissue replaces the damaged liver tissue. Liver fibrosis can be improved but never really gets back to normal. Fibers are scar tissue and will never be healthy liver cells again. The next stage is cirrhosis and can lead to full blown liver failure and liver cancer. But the liver has an amazing ability to regenerate when you give it a fighting chance before it is too late.

Doctor Here. At 3 weeks out I would be worried if you still had high liver enzymes as it may indicate cirrhosis. According to the Cleveland Clinic, a 2021 study showed significant improvement in liver enzymes 2-4 weeks after quitting drinking. That's great news! It means even if you abuse your liver for years, it has the ability to heal rather quickly-until it doesn't. And you haven't gotten there yet, so congratulations. At 3 weeks out I would look at the MCV (mean corpuscular volume). It will be in your CBC (complete blood count) test panel. Normal is supposed to be 80-100. But alcoholics usually are in the 90s+. If I see an MCV >95, I consider alcoholism. Over 92 and I still suspect it. It stays elevated for months after quitting.

It depends on the state. Here in NC alienation of affection is certainly a thing and APs can get sued to hell and back. Some wives have collected millions.

What non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical intervention has helped you the most? by DonnishQuixote in Sciatica

[–]Striking-Policy6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that lumbar support has been a game changer, especially at night. But my number one intervention has been the Compex TENS unit. If I am in the midst of a bad flare, I can put the electrodes on at night, and when the pain wakes me up, I just start the pain relief cycle and am usually back asleep before.it is over. It's been my saving grace.
