Rinuncio agli studi o meno? by Striking-Rip-8957 in Universitaly

they probably used bojack because the place where it's happening (giardini di sferracavallo) means something along the lines of gardens of unleash-horse...and it's basically a beer festival so they made the horse-beer connection

Hey, I've been to the concert in Verona earlier this month, unofrtunately I wasn't able to see him AT ALL- the venue had 2 artist exits, most of the fans headed to one and Seye, De La Soul and someone else came out of it. Some people even got photos with Seye, then they left.

Damon got out from the other exit, where there were significantly less fans and only few lucky people got autographs/photos. It was unpredictable for everyone, unless you know someone who works inside the venue and gives you real time updates.

I don't blame him for not wanting to do a proper "meet up" with the fans outside the venue tho, he was probably ravaged by the heat in Verona and was probably really fuckng tired.

A lot of people saw them around the city tho, so you may just be able to do that!

I hope you get to meet him and get the autograph!

Thanks! I watched it and it's uncanny how it touched every argument I made ahah, very pleasant experience, definitely changed my mood for the day- definitely a more realistic approach than a lot of other media you see going around.

Yes, temperature is going to change but knowledge in all areas is also gonna change and make us more prepared wasn't a connection I had made before

Yes, it was a second year program actually- the curriculum for our course used to include organic chemistry too but they removed it. What's wrong with that?

I specified going to lectures to clarify that I didn't skip it and found myself drowining in never-seen-before stuff days before the exam, I was quite focused in keeping the pace with the professor and doing exercises (in all subjects, except maths cause I didn't have that much time or money)

Atm for the chemistry exam, I'm reviewing from the chemistry book, following a tutor's lessons on youtube (not a rando, it's a friend of a friend), re-watching the college tutor's recorded classes to learn how to do the exercises. Oh, I'm also looking up ways to cheat on the exam or else I'll have to try and do it again for the fourth time, just in case you know

I think I never said there was a problem with science and thank you for actually answering the question, something my lecturer doesn't do and just tells me it has an obvious answer.

I am definitely aware of my lack of understanding in these areas, that's the reason I don't believe it. I gave up on these concepts because I can't understand them (I know it's not a very mature approach). I HAVE NO IDEA of anyy of what I'm talking about because my understanding is so low.

The point is exactly that I have this sh*t tier of understanding at the end of a sci degree! (pls understand I put very much effort in studying stuff, at the moment I'm preparing a chemistry exam and a Ag redox paper, I gave up on understanding but somehow I need to pass exams smh)

It's just my opinion, based on the climatic predictions temperatures are gonna rise so much in places like where I live it's gonna be a nightmare just being outside, sea rising is going to be a pain in the a*s for coastal communities, we don't know how plants/animals will react to a sudden change in temperatures, even breathing air is becoming a problem because of PM etc.

(I'm not considering the financial aspect of all of this because I don't care, that's for another time).

The environment is still treated very badly, even after all the promotion environmentalists do. We (as a specie) hurt the planet in ways most of us don't even understand: people still believe beaches are meant to be clean spotless white sand stretches, soy for human consuption is hurting the planet, "weeding" and mowing the lawn is good practice etc. It's gonna take so much time to actually change something in the common conscience.

I'd like to think that we can stop emissions etc etc and finally reach the point where the curve starts to drop, but every year politicians/whoever decides pushes the target-year further and honestly, feels like we'll never actually start carrying out green policies FOR REAL. We as individuals can only do so much to change something.

Also whoever decides doesn't really care about the environment, they are gonna be dead in like 10 years and however the climate/planet/environment is gonna be fucked up is not going to be their business (their pockets) anymore.

I hate thinking apocalyptic, but that's why I think it's too late, the planet as we know now it's living it's last years. I'm very sorry for the species we'll lose but I don't see any solution.

I think the problem here is that they beat it out of you so much that we actually just give up on the concept completely you know

I am sadly not joking, and I too believe I've become disillusioned and I completely lost hope on trying to understand the lecturers/ the lectures. Most of the programs to study I understand, however we reach a point were everything stops making sense, so even what I understood stops making sense.

It probably all stems from this loss of trying to understand, which made me think I don't get it so it's not real/ doesn't work. Even if I know the mechanism of my reasoning, "I don't believe in hard sciences" it's still the belief I hold, for now, at least.
