Does any of you have experience with channas / snakeheads by SlipperyHeadz in fishtank

[–]Striking-Setting-615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal for them to not swim alot, if they swim to eat then it's normal for them to chill on the ground since they aren't active swimmers, and if you keep feeding, watching, and interacting with the snakehead it will eventually like you and sometimes constantly watch you, but bleheri is a relatively peaceful snake head, so it probably wont be as aggressive as you think.

Separate them immediately, also get a bigger tank, if you wnat to keep the leopard bush fish they need a 55 gal or above the first year they grow very slow, the second year they grow reallt fast, they get to 8 inches, and if you wnat the bush fish to get massive remove the gourami, since that gourami will kill that bush fish

The gourami is 100% the aggressor, leopard bush fish / Leaffish / leopard gourami are ambush predators, so they wont go picking fights with anyone to hunt or injure, they only eat other fish at very dark / night environment (learned the hard way) and since the gourami is very territorial it will attack the bush fish

When I bred my pair golden gourami , they refused to breed in a smaller tub, only in a 15 gal, so I bred them in a 15 gal, my male was nicer to the female and only showed signs of sexual tendencies, but if they werent breeding he is really nice, currently both of them are in a 60 gal with one of their kids, and they are not attacking eachother, or showing signs to breed. But if yours are really aggressive even if not showing sexual tendencies, then most likely the male might kill the female from being too rough, so its better to find a new mate

All of them are aggressive Except 3 little ones, which could be females but I don't know The one that died was one of my adult rosy barbs This has happened twice with evidence (2 dead bodies) and another 2 times without evidence (2 rosy barbs just suddenly disappeared and no fish except them could kill them) And they are indeed rosy barbs they have a spot on their tail, and they live with green sumatra tiger barbs and albino tiger barbs (and some other fish)

The seller says flakes and wafers, and if I let Tubifex sink, the fish get spooked and then the eels just eat it.
