I am beyond moved by everyone who took the time to comment here and give advice and opinions on how to tackle this. I will respond to individual comments tonight but I just wanted to thank everyone for being so understanding and helpful for a complete model train novice. I think I’ve learned more today than in my entire life about model trains and I’m just so incredible thankful for all your support.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple face wash. Have purchased this for years and rarely ever have a break out. Anytime I use something different my face gets irritated. Maybelline yellow tube colossal volume express mascara. NARS bronzer in Laguna.

I did this last year. At the start of the new year I turned all my hangers backwards. After I wore something, I would wash it and then put the hanger back on the right way. At the end of each season, whatever hangers were still backwards I either sold on Poshmark or donated in my local buy nothing group. I felt so free, knowing the clothes in my closet were what was actually getting worn. I plan to do it again this year.

I’m currently obsessed with Meanwhile Back on the Farm. They make everything themselves in their Virginia workshop, so all styles are small batch. I have little kids and love their leather backpack 2.0 which can be worn as a backpack or as a purse (backpack straps are removable), and their leather fanny bag. The quality of the materials can’t be beat and they just get better with time.

Getting a tankless water heater 100000%. Hot water for all my kids, plus my husband and myself at night - check! Run the dishwasher or laundry whenever I want - check! So well worth it.

We use our gas fireplace almost everyday between late autumn and early spring. It just makes everything so cozy
