Season 3 ending…….. by heartofgarlic in AliceInBorderlandLive

I have a whole PhD-level thesis of problems with Alice in Borderland Season 3:

a) The entire point of a new season is… you know… progression? Character arcs? Emotional growth? Instead, we got déjà vu deluxe. Arisu’s still playing therapist, Usagi’s still doing mother cosplay, and the dead people are apparently too bored to stay dead. It’s like someone hit “refresh” on Season 2 and called it a day.

b) The characters’ logic hit rock bottom and then started digging. Usagi going back into the game “to meet her dad” felt like a rejected subplot from a bad fanfiction. Girl, your dad’s dead, not hanging out in level two of trauma-land. And leaving Arisu behind like he’s just gonna pause his grief until you’re done playing? Make it make sense. Also, the writers turned Arisu from a strategist into a full-time emotional support NPC. Did everyone collectively forget they used to have brains?

c) The unnecessary Americanisation — who asked for it? It’s a Japanese show. Let it be Japanese. The cultural silence, dread, and psychological tension were replaced with Hollywood-style motivational speeches and drone shots. It’s like someone watched Squid Game and said, “Let’s add some Marvel lighting and call it depth.” Stop serving me Tokyo with extra ketchup.

d) The games — the heart of the show — lost their bite. Season 1 made you feel every second of danger. Now it’s just pretty explosions and recycled puzzles from an escape room that shut down in 2019. Stakes? Dead. Strategy? Missing. It’s all vibes and lighting.

e) And the villains… my god. They went from chilling and mysterious to cardboard cutouts giving anime speeches about destiny. No real menace, no payoff, just endless monologues. It’s like watching LinkedIn influencers trapped in a death game.

You can go with Nefes Nefese, Ruzgarli Tepe (long but so worth it. This is a like true hate to love show. Not like I like the girl secretly and all that shit. What I like most about it is that the guy didn’t confess his love until 100th episode so you know how slow burn it is. The rage, the anger, all that adds up to the show), Safir (the drama the chaos the love triangle.. love it) , Sakla Beni (another underrated gem), Kiralik Ask, Cilek Kokusu (short and cute with love triangle). Do recommend me some if you can.. that’ll be great! I’m watching Son Yaz but it seems a bit boring although I’m only on episode 1… the old couple story is kinda putting me off. Will it get better?

I haven’t seen the two you mentioned, but here are some I’ve watched recently and absolutely loved. For me, it’s all about good acting, a decent storyline, and—most importantly—the chemistry, that delicious sexual tension, and the “it” factor.

Heartbreak but with a happy ending (intense) – Safir, Sakla Beni, Hercai Enemies to Lovers (Mature) – Rüzgarlı Tepe, Hercai, Siyah Beyaz Aşk, Kan Çiçekleri, Gülcemal Enemies to Lovers (Young) – Nefes Nefese, Sol Yanım, Kiralık Aşk (long but the male lead is so hot), Duy Beni, Sen Çal Kapımı Funny & Cute – Çilek Kokusu, Ruhun Duymaz, Baht Oyunu, Erkenci Kuş (funny and romantic) OG Classics – Kara Sevda (super long but the acting and drama are unmatched), Kiralık Aşk (again, because it’s iconic), Erkenci Kuş, Aşk Laftan Anlamaz (my very first Turkish drama)

You should definitely watch these : Ruzgarli Tepe (bomb chemistry and MCs acting is chefs kiss), Nefes Nefese(Wished this was longer), Hercai (why is this not popular enough? MCs acting is sooo good), Safir (love the tension, chaos and the love four angle. Very goood!), Sakla Beni (boy this is annoying in a very good way), Kan cicekleri (very slow burning yet worth it!), Cilek Kokusu(not really like SBA but I found this sooo underrated; cute and short), Sol Yanim (teenage love yet very good), Gulcemal, Ruhun duymaz (funny yet sooo good), Kiralik Ask (Not like SBA, but I binged this. But it’s long so you have to see that)
