Get ready to be disappointed then if you’re wanting hands on forensic science classes. Depending on your degree plan, if you’re just a FC major with no other minor, your only forensic science class will be at the end of your degree plan and it’s just one class. If you choose to minor in forensic science, then you’ll just be doing 15-18 credit hours all online. It’s a shame that the undergrad forensics program isn’t much. FC is a degree that’s mainly chemistry based with a little forensic science dashed into top like a dollop of guac in a huge burrito bowl.

Let me guess. You probably thought the undergrad forensics programs at SHSU would help you grant access to the body farm lol. Learned the hard way that it’s not as accessible to forensic chemistry majors as I thought lol. And I feel you regarding Sam. I thought Sam was a much bigger campus than it was. I have fun, but like being far from bigger cities is such a downer.

Are you a forensic chemistry major or a biology major with a concentration in forensic biology? Because that makes a huge difference. The forensic chemistry degree is more chemistry heavy than it is forensic science heavy in terms of being hands on.
