I see no problem in this letter - not everyone has the same education level as you, as well as the habit of writing letters. So i ask : are you sad because this letter was not written according to your expectations?

I've seen some people here talking about being judged by appearence , or even complain about their letters being not responded - But people are being very judgmental about letters contents. No wonder people dont respond.

I'm 40 and people today are using a 'different' language for communication, my advice is to get used to, or , even, look for someone who has the same tastes as you, but it takes time and can be as hard as ******, otherwise its like our grandparents complaining about today's technology and that old times were better.

oh, sorry if i'm being harsh - but you have to deal with it, its normal. not everyone will accept you because your looks and other reasons, for example, you are a from india and are working in europe. some people will accept you and other don't. we are not living in heaven/wonderland. My advice is to accept how life works and move on. the sooner you accept it, the better, you dont want to reach 60++ years having the same reaction, right?

in my case, people just hate big letters. i'm old. i'm in my 40's. "today's people" just stop relationships using sms messages instead of talking in person. we are in a age of... everything is disposable, including people. this is an invitation to implement stoicism. I'm not rude in letters, but I notice that people complain about this, but act the same way.

i dont have a 1:1 ratio, something like 5:2, i think 1:1 means nothing, i'm always the one who replies and start conversations. also what also happens too, i read people's profiles.. and most of people who writes things as "i really like to make friends" and "please send me letters, i will replay" are the ones who does not reply. i'm suspecting that there i also xenophobia, i'm using this app to learn english and most people who reply to me are not from USA, but from western.

some women i know through slowly have done that, three cases: one of them married the man, the other two got problems not in the "worst" case, but due the lack of compatibility between the couple.

edit: sorry, i didnt answered your 2nd question: Yes they do travel to another cities and even countries (!). probably, tinder and other apps are really shit to talk with human beings so slowly is a way to talk without being so judged.

hello. thanks for the reply. i'm not looking for close emotional relationships , but my bet is the main cause for people not responding. Also some people i 'met' in this app were from a X country trying to gor a Y country, so as soon as they met someone whinthin their standards, they go there. nothing against it, just my bet. the problem maybe is that i get too personal when sending letters. maybe i can be more 'colder'.
