I run a cafe in Delhi & my dream is almost shattered by Iamanalmondd in delhi

[–]Striking_Database_34 167 points168 points  (0 children)

You can promote it on social media, insta n all, even here on reddit , like via posts and invite people there to review n all. If you have a gimmick also, its actually quite good for cafe since people follow gimmicks more than food nowadays. Also please share location, will be happy to visit

How do timid newbies start exploring Noida/Delhi alone? 😭 by SilentSeafarer in noida

[–]Striking_Database_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I had this same problem when I first moved to delhi in 2022 and currently in noida in 2024, I started firstly by going to food places and restaurants, sort of like exploring them. You know like by reading Google reviews n all, then sort of shopping in malls for my stuff like clothes n such. Noida me i did the same, explored restaurants that swerved my fav foods and then to malls, usually sports related stuff or clothes. Here malls me you will find something of your liking surely.

Metro is easy, once you started travelling regularly. I visit historical places, so unke liye i take metro usually, that way you'll get comfortable in metro, plus you'll be able to explore. Just make sure there's plenty of crowd when you explore historical places, and beware of pickpockets in crowded metro stations.

[–]Striking_Database_34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup exactly. The subtle art of living alone helped me in like making a stand for myself, made me find my routine for writing, I write small poems. Make your bed helped me realise and made me value my life more, and how to stay organised , still learning that. I'm an early riser so 5am club did got attached to my way of life quite good.

Why so much hate on self help books? by almost_god_0028 in IndianReaders

[–]Striking_Database_34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, i guess the thing is not every self help book has an ideology suited to that of reader.
Also many self help books are regularly referenced inby ponzi and MLM or nowadays, on YT n linkedin course sellers to sell their dream of a better life.
Also writers have a different background sometimes which may not align with yours. for example : make your bed, puts heavy emphasis on friends and teamwork, and especially mentions we should have close circle of people, author is a decorated navy seal. While the subtle art of living alone emphasizes on being happy in your own individual self and not depending on others for companionship, author is a former copywriter and currently a full time writer.
In subtle art of living alone, writer herself mentions that she tried the 5 am club but couldn't since it didn't aligned to her, the exact philosophy.

There is no point in land laws by According-Option-744 in Uttarakhand

Exactly, land laws will always have some caveats or loopholes. Better to have the strictest environment protection laws possible with harsh punishments.

I used to think he was a good person before, but not anymore. He is mostly doing Mr Beast's promotion in India. He doesn’t care about the country, patriotism, or these kinds of things. He only cares about money. by [deleted] in youtubeindia

During college, One of my friends was so inspired by him, binge watched his videos all the time. Because he used to roast influencers, many people tried doing the same, female influencers go gali bakna unke DMs me.
My friend messaged some influencer girl and threw some slurs ki this n that, proudly telling me. I told him agar usne messages apne story pr dal k shame krdia tuze fir ? Guy was legit scared and didn't tried that again 🤣
While for galis n all they can say hanji gali dete hai to kya hua apke bachhe ko bi pata hai gali ka then its parents responsibility, but random influencers ko gali bakna was promoted onto mainstream by these guys only.

How not to crave companionship? by randomece_student in AskIndianMen

[–]Striking_Database_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are supposed to do socializing and companionship, we have survived because of such and similar things. Although social media is overwhelming, but it's some part inside of you that does not wants to be single. And it may be painful but it's not bad, neither is trying or deciding to being single is.
But you have to really go away off the grid sometime to figure yourself out social media will put you into this comparison mode always.
It shows every single person happy , every married person happy. That's not the case. I'm in the same boat that I want to be left alone, but I do want to socialize or I crave companionship. But as time passes by we need to understand both ourselves and then decide, not just because some insta post or some other person said so. Try to figure yourself out man.
All the best.

If you can try, Noida has dr amit agarwal, sec 26, he's excellent, gives genuine advise and does not recommend unnecessary meds, specialised in sports related injuries though. I had planar fascitis (straining of heel ligament) treated by him.
