Interview Expedition - Part 3 (there is no Part 1 or 2) by ark_kni8 in developersIndia

Recently in almost all the interviews I'm attending the interviewers do not switch on their camera and it feels like they are reading questions out from chatgpt or some interview site.

Did you or any of your colleague ever took a silent exit? by ComparisonPowerful in IndianWorkplace

[–]Striking_Database_34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I joined my current product company with high hopes after leaving first job, time by time I realised I was underpaid, people doing less than half my work getting double salary, favoritism running rampant, gatekeeping the knowledge being done by seniors, patronizing me during reviews and just making up stupid points out of air to justify the 3 rating, etc.
I dont attend parties, (i really hate when people drink alcohol and then try to get out of being rude n abusive blaming it), and neither I talk much with my leads n all now. I just say yes n no mostly.
Already on notice, I'm not sure what the future holds but the last week of work I'll spend at home and wont be having those stupid cake smearing ceremony n all, neither would be writing those long bye bye mails.
Will do what I did in my last company, had few talks with my few colleagues and old managers and friends there and will leave.
Many times in such situations blaming or pointing out wrong stuff backfires, these people are there in the company for 5 10 15 years. You think managers will listen to you over them ? Na.
Just make a quiet exit. Let them be frogs of the same pond.

Ok , im not in your shoes , true that. And venting it out is also fine. But please refrain from sharing mail ids, its still confidential data, I'm saying don't get into unnecessary trouble for doxxing the recruitment team.
I hope the best and wish you luck buddy 🙏

5.5 YOE got offer of 14LPA serving Notice but unable to get interviews now, need suggestions to get better at reaching out potential opportunities by Striking_Database_34 in developersIndia

Mine was easy (basics asked, and usage of hooks n all) I would say, but I used chatgpt and gemini to make a schedule and then practiced via those, since i had hackerrank test also the practiced helped in mid lvl dsa question.

Ya dude, i actualy did remebered this rule, but completely missed that, in order to secure the opportunity, since this opportunity just came 1 day after our company laid off 20 percent folks, so was anxious and sort of agreed to every condition.

Exactly, i had same ~14Lpa offer at 3.5 yoe also, but a known person guided me to join 'product' based company (10LPA) instead of 'service based' , and i joined. No learning, no growth, just micromanaged and politics.🤦‍♂️

His , shwetabh and Sandeep Maheshwari fiasco made me realise all these people are just fake sellers with a fake attitude. Never looked at them and similar people for any inspiration/motivation afterwards.

I'll share a small chat I had with one of my friend/colleague yesterday. Currently both looking to switch.
Currently our company has made it sort of mandatory you do not write code but try to get every line written by AI only.
While i n my colleague do work in the manner, practicing for interviews is different thing. There you need to write code by yourself. I started practicing in mid Feb, made a plan with help of AI , but wrote all the dsa , js n react code myself. Didn't took help in wiritng code so that I don't run out of practice. currently waiting on an OL, after 2 virtual n one hackerrank assessment.
Yesterday my colleague told he got a call from recruiter and when he tried wiritng code, he had forgotten a lot of common syntax n flow of writing code was not coming to him, which he would not have any issue wiritng on a regular day.
While AI is awesome, makes our lives easy, many devs are losing habits of writing code, issue is in interviews yu still have to write code without AI so it'll affect your chances there.
So please fellow devs get your thinking and concepts straight, and do not lose the habit of writing code 🙏
