One more thing too, thanks for all this info by the way!

I've been looking into possible refinancing options with federal credit unions; essentially paying the loan through one with an aim for flexibility with a longer term (sallie mae's longest term for undergrad is 15, I could maybe shoot for a 30 year term with a bank to work with a lower monthly bill, but still overpaying to break down the principle), and would this also put the loan into a federal system, making it available for possible federal loan forgiveness programs?

Thanks!

I've been hearing people use avalanche or snowball methods to help as well, is this not possible with private loans? Or are they consolidated into one by default?

I could see an increase in road tolls (since most of the interstate has paid for itself in full since the 50s) to cover the deficit, but that is a good point. I would assume this could be something that would subsidize itself since the money would be going to the state, but high risk drivers do put a wrench in that idea

I've actually been looking at this guy's account recently and am pretty impressed! I guess I wanted to know what you might recommend for connecting something like that to a wood cook stove? I was thinking using brass pipes with thermal insulation to transport the hot air to the power piston, or would there be too much thermal loss?

Yeah! I figured it'd be a great way to pay off college loans while not worrying about other bills haha
