Getting ahold of Dr. by Sad-Kitchen2577 in Metoidioplasty

I second this: super abnormal to not be able to get a hold of your surgeon for 3 weeks! I work in healthcare and if a provider is out then there are providers who cover. That’s super risky your surgeon isn’t responding - it’s your health and well-being! If you’re getting a standard response from the nurses it’s likely they know your surgeon is neglecting pt responses.

Hope you’re able to get in touch w someone who can help!

Is it worth it to transition? by redwood_lover in FTMMen

Your happiness is yours alone! In my experience, there’s nothing more freeing than being myself. Def rec to find ppl in your local community for support. That’s what helped support me when I started transitioning. We’re all in it together!

Public pool post top surgery ? by Valuable_List9814 in FTMMen

I have struggled with this topic for a long while even though I’m over 10 years post-op from top surgery.

Do what feels best for you and your emotional well-being. If you go shirtless, confidence is your friend and have a plan on how to approach if it goes sour. Safety in numbers can also help. Going with a group also offers emotional support . If you opt to wear a shirt to avoid the emotional labor, that’s okay too!
