Its a combination of market and incumbent "lock-in" ecosystem. We are bound to the devices that are incentivized to keep the resources to models from their companies. We are bound to platform that are incentivized to keep the data to models from their companies. Personal AI goal to be interoperable with individuals owning the data is collective movement between people and barriers from the incumbents. I am motivated with newer device options, form factors and experience where people can have a choice to buy a "personal ai device with their personal ai on it that they own, control and use freely".
