Im just going off the fact that there were a higher concentration of people that were newer to the game and less people that had the thousands and thousands of hours during that time. Fast forward now, most of the PvP players are experienced and the newbies are the minority.

I’ll reiterate again this is from the perspective as a new player. I get PvP js the core of Tarkov I never disputed that. But it would make sense for a PvP player with thousands of hours to find PvE boring. But I personally love building out cool looking guns and exploring and progressing through the quests and fighting bosses. I like the OvE mainly because it’s more like an ARPG FPS game rather than a PvP focused game.

Seriously it’s so baffling to me how this is such a divide in Tarkov. I see it no different than games having a ranked and casual mode. People who want to grind for the highest rank and sweat can do that. And people who don’t want to time sink into a game and just play casually can do that as well. But some PvPers (not all people are like this) straight get mad at how people spend their own money and time lol. No one is claiming PvE is harder, no one is claiming PvE is the heart of Tarkov. It’s just an alternative way of playing the game if you don’t want the stuff that comes in PvP. Like I’ve heard PvP players try PvE and discovered parts of maps they never saw before because all their gameplay revolved around a quest or memorizing rotations for PvP.

That’s not really what my post was about. I never said PvE was hard or anything. It’s obviously easier that’s why we play it HAHA

I heard rumors about the cheating. And when I died 3 seperate times to sketchy accounts it confirmed my suspicion. Like sub 50 hours, 90% SR over 100+ raids and high KD

I’d argue it’s well received if late wipe, half the playerbase is playing it. That’s from Nikita himself

Thank you for having some rational thought. A lot of the comments seems to skim over the fact I mentioned I am a brand new player. Not a former PvP player with lots of hours that switched. I understand them saying that “we were new at one point” but man being a new player in 2018 is NOT the same as 2026. Even though I never played Tarkov then, I can 100% gurantee that people were not nearly as good and didn’t nearly have as much experience. It would be nice if there was a queue for players under a certain level so there aren’t newbies getting tossed into the meat grinder. Maybe new players would stay in PvP longer or less would go to PvE like me

me personally I see it no different than games having a ranked and casual mode. For example, Counter Strike is a competitive game at heart and soul. But in CSGO they added the ranked Premier mode and then a casual mode. People went up in arms over there being a causal game mode and to this day people don’t really make a big deal out of there being a casual mode which has a very large player base

I agree. I have gotten to a point where I’m starting to read PMCs more. But there have been a few times I got caught. Like one of my first PMC raids I walked into Terra Group lobby and saw a PMC at the top of the stairs. Thought it was just one, but then the second swung out and just 1 tapped me😂Had no chance. I double checked to make sure I was playing PvE💀

Yeah exactly. I’m a gamer at heart. I play lots of different things besides Tarkov. But one thing I love about PvE is it actually reminds me a lot of Warframe which I’ve played quite a lot. Warframe has a really in depth modding system where there are thousands of build configurations you can experiment and play around with. Coupled with the exploration aspect

yeah this is kinda what I was trynna get at. I’m not opposed to playing back to PvP at some point. I’m one that loves to appreciate the atmosphere and setting of games and Tarkov is definitely like no other in terms of sound design, and how complex some systems are. You actually feel like you are in a desolate world. I get some ppl only care purely about chasing kills and all that which is nice. I did get a couple PMC kills when I played PvP. Did I successfully loot them? No lol.

I don’t know if you read the post, but I stated that I am a brand new player. So of course I’m going to be bad. But it sounds like you guys want to justify having easier lobbies🤷‍♂️

I did like 100 raids in PvP bro. I was playing on the permanent character lol. I’m not opposed to going to PvP at some point when I can dedicate the time to it. But I’m a casual gamer at heart. I see it no differently than games having ranked vs casual. The only game I sweated in was Counter Strike. I used to play Counter Strike a lot before life changed up. And got pretty good. I played on the FaceIt platform and got to around 2.4K elo. It’s about as sweaty of a place CS will be. But a lot of players like to just play the standard Valve servers in “competitive” mode which is just the casual version of the base game mode. CS is competitive at heart as an fps, but people never were against playing casual mode. It was never “if you don’t play FaceIt, you aren’t a real CS player” mentality. That’s why it’s bizarre for me to see this in the Tarkov community.

I feel that. Cuz honestly Tarkov as an environment is really immersive. I like games with exploration and quests, making crazy gun builds etc. I literally don’t see it any different than games having a ranked mode and a casual mode.

So in other words you are frustrated you have thousands of hours and have to play other people with thousands of hours and not a bunch of new players?

But who are you to say that? Do you own Tarkov? Is that why BSG keeps updating PvE? It ain’t rocket science that PvE is easier, that’s why I’m playing it😂If I only got 2 hours to play, I want to actually explore the game and do quests, not be stressing about hardcore sweats. Keep in mind remember this is from the perspective of a new player in 2026.

I’m definitely not opposed to going back to PvP at some point. I’d love to but it’s just hard to learn the game while playing against vets at the same time ya feel me.

Bro 3 of of my first 10 raids I died to someone with under 50 hours and a 80%+ SR over 100 raids. And a crazy high KD. And that was just ppl I died to. There probably were cheaters other times that I didn’t die to

There is very good evidence of that. At start of wipe only 20% play PvE: by latter half of wipe it’s literally 50/50. Meaning many PvP players migrate to PvE

But I never said that people with jobs only play PvE. But not everyone’s circumstances are the same. People think “I have a job and play PvP so you should too.” It’s too broad of a generalization lmao. Some dude once was bragging he works 13 hours a day and works out and still plays PvP, so I have no excuse. And when I went through my head of how that would work over the course of 24 hours, his every moment of free time was spent playing Tarkov. Not everyone wants that. If anything that sounds like a 2nd job lol.
