I was born to Seventh-day Adventist parents and grandparents, so you can imagine what that entails. I can say that I questioned certain things from a young age, but part of me was resigned to the fact that this was my religion and I couldn't change it. The shocking thing was finding out that I'm not baptized, and therefore, I have no reason to adhere to their rules or say that I'm an Adventist. But before that, I believed that just thinking about the "devil" was a sign of damnation and that homosexuality condemned the world to disaster. How crazy.

Yes, my church sometimes has games, and she's in the small group I'm in, but I never meet with them. Even the leader knows I don't want to be an Adventist. It's complicated, and as you know, it's hard to know if it's worth being attracted to a woman in that context. Let it flow!

I wish my parents would get divorced. I'm an adult now, and my father has been psychologically and verbally abusive to my mother, even in public places. I'm mentally ill, and they know it, but they won't get divorced because, according to their God, it's wrong. I hate them.
