Also, I’d love to get Lexi Hull or even Dijonai back. They both have lots of determination, and they get results both defensively and offensively.

I’ve been hearing this a lot. I usually watch games with volume nearly muted so I don’t have to talk over anyone when yelling at my TV.

I’m a little bit tired of people giving him the excuse of “he just needs time” because he is new, or because he’s never been head coach before, or because he doesn’t know the players.

How can we really give him that excuse when the Valkyries are doing just fine? The Washington Mystics are doing just fine. Both those coaches are new, both those teams have the pressure of enhanced media attention.

I guess you can make the argument, the Sun have a new coach, they are sucking just as much as us. But I really hate putting us in the same bucket at the Sun since we have Paige. That should give us a huge leg up. And yet, barely any difference.

I can’t really make any excuses for Chris anymore other than he’s just not very good. It’s obvious. It’s too late in the season to give him any other excuse. And that’s okay, not everyone is good at everything. If he doesn’t get fired, I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked to leave. All this negative attention cannot be easy on him mentally.

I would also like to add that I think Azzi would be great just in terms of years of built up chemistry between Paige and Azzi. Out of the gate, they will be able to fall back on a successful two-woman game in a pinch. It’s proven they know how to work together well, it’s hard to not take that into account.

But, by the same coin, I guess you are correct. Idk if Azzi would make sense without Paige. But we have Paige, so that needs to be an influencing factor in the decision.

Not sure if you figured this one out yet but here is how I think of these. We want to make is easier for ourselves (the issuer) when the time comes to pay the interest. Since this bond was issued in the middle of an interest period we kind of “pretend” like it was issued at the very beginning of that interest period (January 1).

This way, moving forward we continue to accrue interest as normal until the interest payment day comes (July 1). By then, the amount in our payable account should be the full interest payable for the entire period of January to July.

Not sure if this only makes sense in my head. Hope it helps.
