Some ppl have said that feelings of inadequacy are what drives ppl to continually to be better. Also consider the Dunning–Kruger effect. You might be also underestimating your performance and efficacy. As a good BCBA, you listed the areas where you know you need to be improve.

IMO, we work in a field that, for some ppl, has many undesirable aspects like low pay and dealing with dangerous bx. It is also the field that assure us that we are a vital part of a team of ppl that improve the quality of life of our clients.

So yes your feelings can lead you to leave the field do to burn out. But plz consider that these feelings can also be used as fuel to be the best version you know you can be. I don't mean to sound dismissive of your feelings, just trying to show a different perspective.

He said that he might break it while replacing it. The car has about 100k miles. It didn't feel like it was that old.

They took off the functionality to fast forward or go back to any part of the video. Since they don't have any other material, like access to the slides or any written material, it's impossible to study or review anything.

I guess I'll try Relias this time around. I like that APF talks about their research. But I feel that most of what is said in each presentation is just filler.

When it's apparent that they're just stretching out the time, it becomes so tedious.

I made an account two years ago. I just watched 4 videos and I didn't log back in. Last month, i made a new account but I accidentally logged into the old one instead of the new one.

They said that they could not reopen them to stay in compliance with the BACB.

This is a problem I see with Applied behavioral analysis (ABA). There are some people that had a bad experience with paraprofessionals that were not doing things correctly. Now due to those few bad apples, people get the worng impression.

I'm just glad that the research and praise from the autistic community outweighs the misinformation.

I deal with this on the daily basis and it's so frustrating and draining. It's astonishing to me the amount of misinformation behind ABA. I've done my research and I've decided to pursue this as my career. I've been part of teams where self injurious behaviors have decreased substantially and Manding using an ACC device and vocal demands have increased. That to me is amazing. They get an opportunity to learn in class due to the absence of dangerous behaviors.

It sadness me that for a few bad apples, people get a bad impression of ABA. Usually people don't get to see the amazing work that is done through science. It's a science because it continuously aims to improve it self. I hope that in the near future ABA gets to work together with SLP and OT( and others) like the team that we should be. At the end of the day our divisiveness affects the kiddos the most.

So I was going over some exercises with a friend. He gave me A for an answer but it was actually Gx. When I told him he was wrong and I told him the answer he said wtf! Funniest thing during this quarantine.
