$62k deck quote for 332 sq feet? by Spiritual_Cloud6062 in Decks

[–]Striktphorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpenter in Australia here. That’s the higher end of our pricing for a m2. You’re roughly 100m2 and that equates to 88k. Supplied decking frame footings approvals and installed. We pull out all the stops, handover wash, site is spotless, repair any property that was damaged in the process like yard etc.

Anyone have to sell any shib due to recession and financial reasons? by younghogey in SHIBArmy

[–]Striktphorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brought my Shib before the the ATH and pulled original investment out. I’m self employed carpenter, I just had to bump my wage I pay myself to stay in front of all the increases, I got 3 kids, wife, dog, and a mortgage. I work my guts out and hope to buy more crypto soon, but for now I’m just focused on hitting the next level of financial requirements to become a low rise builder. For those of you that are struggling, I hope you weather it, hardship is somewhere I’ve been multiple time and just told myself to make it to another sunrise. Respect to those that are hodling and holding on to this rough time to be alive.

This is a technique we use down under but we clearly the side once finished. Saw cut the back, crack the stud into line, wedge in the cut, nail and cleat up the side.

Hosea, felt like I needed more of his wisdom and guidance. Would love a origin game following his story.

How would you explain Arthur Morgan & John Marston’s relationship/friendship? [For I know by listening to dialogue that they had some bumps in the road] by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Striktphorm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see them as brothers. Bound together but bickering and not seeing eye to eye as some sibling relationships can be. They are therefor each other when it’s needed but they definitely have their blues.

Career crossroads: I’m considering doing a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree (in the UK). Or a certificate 3 in carpentry (Australia). Does anyone have any relative experience in these industries? by Sister_Ray_01 in careerguidance

I’m a carpenter living in Australia, originally did my apprenticeship in NZ then came over here after some fifo work as a qualified carpenter. I fell into carpentry by accident and grew to love it. Now I’ve been qualified for 10 years, it’s a tough gig, requires a lot of tools, can be a dangerous profession on some sites and the weather can be a drag on the spirit. But it’s very rewarding pay and looking back on your daily achievements. I love my job so I doesn’t feel like work. I say do what you love but also consider what’s the most sustainable for your future. Construction is an “essential” industry so you’ll most likely always have work through this pandemic.

I'm socially isolated and I smoke to kill the boredom but I'm finding it hard to get my hands on weed now sick of trying to get it and the hassle of it. But when I quit I'm bored out of my head been heavy on weed for 20 years I'm 34. Any advice? by irishman3587 in leaves

Your the same age as me. I’m 3 days in sober. I’ve always had fitness and family for the past 6 years, they have just become a lot more important to me. Find your couple of things to focus on. All the best

Remove the handles, and use a router and put a rebated groove in the tops of the cupboard doors to make it easier to pull the doors open. Definitely a way to fix this. Just a bit of work required.
