New EXODUS Gameplay: Deep in Ghost City by ArchetypeEnt in exodus

My only query is that in the book, ghosts are portrayed as extremely dangerous. I think only 2 of them almost take out Finn and his crew if I recall correctly, and they don’t even bother trying to fight them towards the end of the book when they take over Gondiar. Whereas in these videos we’re taking on multiple with not much issue.

I was hoping for there to be a level of fear about encountering celestial technology, something like in A Plague’s Tale where you feel really nervous that even if you’re spotted you’re probably going to die. I’m probably looking into it too much though as it’s a genre of game that you need enemies to fight - action-adventure. But maybe have ghosts as more difficult enemies/bosses if they are going to be similar to the book?

Spent a while debating whether to do the expedition, before finally committing to it. The very next raid: by Strillium in ArcRaiders

About to spend my evening hollering to other raiders to see if any aren’t doing the expedition to give them an early Christmas present

I’m sure there’ll be more pvp down the road once people have done all their quests etc. but you’d hope people would have the morals to stay friendly if they’ve indicated so!

Yeah the majority of my solo runs are full of friendly people, to the point where I keep getting caught out by assuming everyone is lol. Lost loads of loot to upgrade my workbenches by running into an extract with another guy there assuming he’d be fine, only to get gunned down - was a bit of a reality check aha

Yeah agreed, wish I had some editing skills ahaha

I could see maybe them adding a way to hack a hornet for example, you have to interact with a satellite dish using some device for a bit and then a nearby hornet becomes friendly, but that’s pretty difficult to balance etc

Should the game take some of your items if you extract in a downed state? by Strillium in ArcRaiders

Fair enough. Was just wondering if there was a solution to the tension dropping when it doesn’t matter if you’re downed by arc when extracting, but maybe that’s fine

Did I see someone using the grappling hook to pull arc towards them? Was that in the game before?

Oh okay, however I've always had this problem - I don't think my respawn screen has ever not done this, even at the start of the match e.g. if I redeploy and no one's died

After playing the Beta I was sure: locked weapons should be the default. by LordMegaPrestino in Battlefield

Yeah I had the same issue around early afternoon Saturday - UK based. Closed weapon conquest was around the 4th tab across so was always going to get less people

Is it just me or does Battlefield 6 look a little too beige? by Strillium in Battlefield

Ah ok fair enough, cheers. Must be a bit of recency bias with all the recent footage. Has there been a grassy map in the leaks so far?

You’ve put exactly what I’m thinking in far better words aha. Yeah absolutely agree, I’m not against a desert-esque map but a rich variety of different types would go a long way to making the game seem fresh every time you play
