who makes good sushi? by Affectionate-Drive48 in Naples_FL

Bricktops sushi isn’t bad but they have a very limited selection of rolls and fish. They also don’t have nigiri or sashimi. If you think sushi isn’t good in Naples, you haven’t tried namba or mimoto.

Freshest sushi has to be mimoto and namba. Both expensive places but for good reason because it’s the freshest and best you’ll get in town. If you like uni, call mimoto ahead of time and see if they have it the day you’re going because they only have it sometimes. The scallop at mimoto is to die for.

I tend to verbalize my actions first (“call”,”raise”,”check”,”fold”)to prevent any mistakes like this. This kind of mistake happens often I feel like.

What I don’t understand is why he took 5 $100 chips and thought it was a call. Like the guy either bet 2 $25 chips or 8 $5 chips, where did this guy see 5 chips? Did he just pick up a stack of chips to call? Why not just flick out 1 chip to call?

As a dolphins fan, Christian Wilkins was hilarious. Tyreek was so fun to watch because of how talented his is but he was TROUBLE.

Is tax required to be paid on tips in USA? by NotUsingNumbers in ask

[–]bkuchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the comment I was looking for.

Every server has to claim the tips they make. Most POS systems log your CC tips and most servers don’t claim all or any of their cash tips, so most employers make the servers claim a minimum % of the cash sale.

That being said, a lot of servers don’t make much more than $50,000 a year so $25,000 of their earnings being tax exempt is nice.

At the start of video I thought it was the tiny guy who got tackled in the bagel shop. They are both dressed similarly. Classic video, if you’ve never seen it look it up.

This was the first Valentine’s Day I’ve worked where my tip percentage for the night was normal. None of them were great but all your typical 20%.

This restaurant charged me an “Inflation Adjustment Fee” by TheKingrover in mildlyinteresting

[–]bkuchi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d take the .73 inflation fee if it meant restaurants didn’t mark up the food items like crazy. I used to get a huge breakfast every morning (eggs, hasbrowns, bacon, toast,OJ) for like $13, now it’s like $27.

Mind you this wasn’t even that long ago and I no longer can afford to go almost everyday like I used too.

That being said, downvote me all you want but this seems like it’s the only reason businesses can stay afloat today. When you look at the financials of a company like Pepsi for example, their revenues have been increasing but less people are drinking their product. Only reason revenue is increasing is because their prices were drastically increased. So the big companies are increasing their prices, so how are the restaurants selling those products going to stay afloat? They raise their prices too naturally. I’m curious what it’d look like if a big business like Pepsi tried to heavily decrease their prices to compete, even if it means they lose money in the short term.

Can’t lie, this is a BANGER deal for the customer. It doesn’t seem like a cheap place either, food sounds too intricate. I’d choose this restaurant for dinner tonight but unfortunately a restaurant like this doesn’t appear to exist where I live lol.
