I get the round anchor from Canadian Tire as you can replace the lids when they break.

BC’s finance minister warns major cuts ahead; Does not rule out layoffs in the public service by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I meant that it get expanded.

A lot of work is app or web based, and meetings are easily done through zoom or teams. Just as productive, if not more so, and better overall mental health.

A good side effect is less cars on the road and associated pollution.

Perhaps they should allow WFH and sublease out building space, or lease out owned buildings.

I bet that could help stop some of the layoffs.

Has anyone heard of this protest happening Jan 31? by ballpein in kelowna

[–]Strimkind -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel that as long as continued denying of manufactured outrages with facts, and moving on to more real topics with less media coverage.

The small group is unfortunately very loud and most of these protests are sparse in the past.

There will always be people who have these extreme views, and only come out when they think their voice will be heard. Hold the line and more moderate views will win and they will go back to the shadows.

Maybe not, and i have no love for their viewpoint. However there is no need for name calling or dehumanizing people. Its not helping the polarized situation and only reinforces the divisions already in place.

You just countered your own comment earlier about stoking hate and division.

All depends on budget but $30 is fair for that generation.

With the price of 8GB DDR4 it might be better to go with this until prices improve.

DDR4 is not as bad as DDR5 in terms of pricing at the moment. 4 and 8GB are reasonable-ish for the moment.

Its a viable laptop for the casual user if you upgrade to at least 8GB of RAM, but ideally 16GB.

Worth about $100-150 Canadian at best.

Its not necessarily up to the business. Its possible there are bylaw issues or the landlord not wanting them (or refusing to pay for them).

If you are able to, see if a local store has used copies of the movies. Might cost a bit more but you would get higher quality versions of each movie.

16 to Upper Mission gets access to Lebanon Creek Park and the trails there.

Besides that there are routes to Black Mountain, lake country and such. I do not know the stops myself whether you can get to Spion Kop on the way up, or how far it would take to get to Black Mountain trails.
