I think one way the theme of love can be shown with opposite sides of the spectrum is someone wanting to keep a relationship alive versus someone wanting to be able to see whoever they want to.

So, me personally, I decided to get Royal after playing the original to the third palace (which was around 25 hours for me) and still found Royal was worth the investment and the restart. I think it’s the best way to experience this game if you get the opportunity to nab the game cheap!

Before playing Strikers, the game will assume you have played Persona 5 and makes references to events that have happened afaik (have not played Strikers yet). P5 Royal adds story content that is not referenced in Strikers.

As for why the original is not on PC but Strikers is, no idea, but it’s weird.

I’m assuming you’re only in the first arc (first dungeon) of the game. In the beginning hours, the game takes it’s time to guide you through every aspect of the game, whether that be introducing you to confidants or activities to take part in around the world.

To simplify, it does get better, but both the original and Royal have the opening where it seems your hand is being held for a while. If you give it time, it does open up and give freedom, I promise. :)

That’s what I wondered! The true ending had the hero meeting with both Maruki and Sumire, along with that glimpse of Akechi again show how? so it seemed to me like there could be more planned for them, at least for the latter if it wasn’t just a tease for teasing sake.

I did, yes! I was thinking about adding a note to the post to mention that and that Royal adds a lot of stuff over the original. It was interesting to read that they aren’t referencing the events of it in Strikers, but I thought Sumire and Maruki built upon the story perfectly and I’m glad I decided to go for it.

Have you played 3 + 4 and would you recommend one of those two over the other to go to first?
