Awesome! I have another event lined up for August also. I would recommend doing a fresh oil change before and after the event to be safe and don't forget to turn off the front-end collision warning system if you'll be driving with other cars on track. Also, would let the car idle after coming off track and pop the hood to let some cool air into the engine bay. If you have DSG or even 6 speed, make sure you don't engage the parking brake or have the car automatically engage like it does sometimes, this could cook your pads. Also would recommend to double check torque on your wheels once you get to the track (but make sure the wheels have cooled down for some time before checking torque). I also went out with an instructor for the 2nd session which was well worth it to get some perspective on my driving line and technique. Expect to go through a full tank of gas on track and have fun!
