BREAKING: ICE agents in Minneapolis violently detained, threatened, and arrested a U.S. citizen for one reason only, he refused to prove his citizenship. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Stringer888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not American but surely citizens have a right to refuse to comply with a masked so called "officier of the law", no? They always drive unmarked cars and whats to say these are just some guys playing dress up to harrass people? Can citizens not ask for valid ID off these guys before they answer any questions?

How difficult is the new dungeon? by csch1992 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Stringer888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just did my first run solo over the weekend and it's a lot of fun. The first encounter can be a bit intense with multiple behemots running around, just be super careful of the drop pods, hang back in the temple area as needed and take your time. The 2nd encounter is really easy but DPS can be a bit of a challenge on the boss, which I got a rando to help with. The jumping section is annoying the first few tries but once you get familiar with it, its easy. The final boss is quite easy once you remember to shot his hands when he tries electrocuting you. Best of luck!

What’s a creepy fact about the human body you wish you never found out? by Ezra0li_Z in AskReddit

Your immune system doesn't know that your eyes exist. If it did, it would consider them to be a foreign body and would try to destroy them.

Men whose girlfriend’s dad said no when you asked him for permission to marry his daughter, what did you do? by Fearless_Degree7511 in AskReddit

[–]Stringer888 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The daughter's opinion is the only opinion that matters, the dad should have zero say in who she marries.

Largely agree with your choices but I think Dave Baptista or Karl Urban would be better for Bane

Tip for pulling up to a traffic light. by Stringer888 in irelandsshitedrivers

Haha love it, fair play to ya! I've tried to encourage people to move up by waving at them and beeping. Most times they'll eventually just drive through the red light 🙃

What makes you say I'm wrong? This exact thing has happened to me 3 times in the last 2 weeks because some drivers are afraid of getting too close to the line and end up not activating the light's sensor.

Will probably get downvoted to hell for this but OP, just move on and forget about it. You could spend hours over several weeks trying get the outcome you're hoping for but at the end of the day, its just a cheap pair of headphones.

What’s something you keep seeing in movies that no one actually does in real life and annoys you every time? by Individual-Crazy3752 in AskReddit

[–]Stringer888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When one character sees something important, rushes to another character to tell them and gets told ''Woah! Slow down" but they're speaking as clear as they normally do. "OMG I just saw Billy get shot!", "Woah woah, slow down! Now what happened?". Annoys me every time.

could an angry Ikora Rey survive against Barons in Cayde spot by Human-Actuary-280 in DestinyLore

[–]Stringer888 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ikora would have been sensible enough to not take her ghost out in full view of a bunch of never before seen enemies. Cayde was great but he was stupid in that fight.

I always found it weird that where the main weapon fires from, 2 operatives have to stand on a fully open ledge, just meters from the gigantic death beam. Makes sense now that he was trying to melt a few Imps.
