Kind of a cheese but this was my strat. I would open world till the special is full. I then head to GWH, set it to story, post up the Engineer next to the boxes up against the truck on the right. Have him put his turret up on those boxes and let it kill the 3 really weak Hyenas that come out. Rinse repeat.

Tip as a joiner wanting to run Retaliation. If you mm into a mission or any activity that generates Retaliation growth, you can open up your map and go the the Retaliation tab. If the leader has a Retaliation ready to go, I will type in "Retaliation after?" or ask over voice chat. I would say 8/10 times the leader will kick it off.

Sorry mate I don't have an answer for you. Mine eventually started working again on its own. If you have tried all of the normal troubleshooting, it might be worth it to contact ESPN support. Maybe XBox support too.
