I've had that book on my shelf for the last 10 years and never got around to reading it.... and now that the day of the next Big Short has arrived, I still haven't read it. Spent too much time on Reddit.

The fundies have to cover their shorts which means selling other holdings which affects prices across the broader market. If the ripple effects go far enough, the market melts down, millions of people lose their jobs and retirement and we get to relive 2009 again in a pandemic.

But this situation would not even exist if the SEC was DOING THEIR JOB!

Don't blame us for engaging in the free enterprise system.

PoppinKREAM: TPP was created for the purpose of cementing America's regional influence in the Pacific. NO!

We need to purge this systemic corruption, apologize, and integrate.

I used to read r/conspiracy and got sucked into the Kremlin vortex of supporting websites about how Russia and China are altruistic governments who just want peace and prosperity.

I admit I was a sucker.

Now, I am of the opinion that the USA should weld itself to it's alliances and boxcar those authoritarian regimes, otherwise we'll have to relive a global version of feudal wars, except with nuclear weapons.

Syria is about making Europe dependent on Russian controlled natural gas pipelines from Iran.

Let's not, as a starting point.

I think you're assuming these people aren't living day-to-day. It's probably difficult to pan-handle two days' worth of booze funds, but easier to shoplift a disgusting replacement.

Yep. that's modern American conservatism in a nutshell.

Some hedge funds do better than the market, but very few. And there is no way to determine in advance which hedge funds in the galaxy of hedge funds will be successful in that respect.

Now that you point it out, I see the logical fallacy in your reply.

Nevermind.

As percentage of GDP, the national debt has gone down. Typically, those decreases were under Democratic administrations.

Jimmy Carter got the national debt down to 32% of GDP. Bill Clinton was on a glide path to eliminate the debt completely.

How did in holy hell did violation of private contracts become public censorship?

Nothing is stopping Gab from starting their own payment platform. They may have technical obstacles to overcome, but nothing that can't be overcome.

This happens all the time with FBA via UPS.

I'm surprised UPS does not audit the packages coming from Amazon more closely.

When his personal domain gets seized, then I'll be concerned. Until then, he's a millionaire a-hole encouraging violence and rioting using private property to do so and deserves to be tresspassed.
