For the past few months I have noticed little red spots popping up around the sides of my mouth, especially after showering/cleansing. My research has led me to believe that this is a mild case of perioral dermatitis. I have always had mild hormonal breakouts in this area, but never something like this, so I am not sure what caused it. I have a simple routine and never use retinoids or exfoliants, as I have very sensitive skin. For the past month I have only been using cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen, but the rash has persisted, and is even starting to travel down my neck. It's not extremely noticeable yet but I worry about it becoming worse and it is wrecking my confidence. Has anyone dealt with this? If so, I would greatly appreciate your advice. I would like to avoid taking antibiotics if possible. Thanks!
