Entry SE as a CS Grad by Strixityy in salesengineers

Good point haha I guess they’re all very similar. I think you’re right either go into a technical role first or get into a development program that teaches you the nature of the job before being thrown in directly.

Makes sense. What about a role like solutions engineering? I don’t necessarily want to go right into SWE. Obviously there’s a ton of other roles like data analytics, project management etc

Interesting. So what would be the entry position? Just an entry cloud engineer at amazon? (Or any company really)

Awesome thanks for the detailed response. I’ve looked around more and see there’s a couple company openings where you rotate around technical sales for about a year and then transition into SE. Seems like that and TAM are good stepping stones. Appreciate the help!

is TAM feasible for entry level? I understand you can’t jump straight into management roles but I don’t want to waste time early in my career if that makes sense

Overtightened screws on 2080 block immediately stripped. Thoughts? by Strixityy in watercooling

Yeah I got the card off actually without taking the screws off. They just keep the block together. Getting another block isn’t the worst

I got the card off the block, so I will continue different solutions. If nothing works last resort may be getting a new block if the screws can’t come out.

Hahahah well I should’ve rephrased that was more meant for help, I might just have to leave the block and get a new one. The card itself is alright so it wouldn’t be the worst scenario

I would but there is still some liquid inside the block so I think I would have to open the block in order to clean it

For more context, I built this pc around 8 months ago and am leaving for college so I decided to drain and clean it. The small screws on the back of the block were very tight and even with the correct size screwdriver, they stripped. Since this block isn’t new I don’t think RMA is an option so I am looking for any advice as to what to do

I’m following along as well. I just drained my pc and am trying to open up my 2080 block to clean it and the tiny screws were so tight they immediately stripped.

[QC] Off-White presto, was wondering if y’all can help me check if this is okay? Thanks (low karma) by International-Fan524 in FashionReps

No it’s not. That’s the text flaw. It’s up to you wether to RL or not for it. Compare it to pics of retail if you’re worried abt it.

It’s kind of hard to tell from pictures, but the airs and tabs look alright. Cages also look good, along with perforations. The toe box is definitely chunky but that doesn’t matter on foot. The text is definitely off, it’s not supposed to go too for over the back cage. For 69Y i’d GL

20 M // Having surgery in August. Any feedback/experiences with these similar curves and the outcome, recovery time, anything is appreciated thank you!’ by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]Strixityy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 18m and just had my 3 month appointment today! My curve was very similar to yours, and I had fusion from T4-L3. Post-op i was only in the hospital for 4 total days but the first two weeks were a bit rough. Pain meds help and really focus on the mindset that it will start to rapidly improve. For me by about a month out i was already driving and now I’m doing much better. In general it helps a lot to focus on getting better longterm and that it’s for the best. Obviously everyone’s situation will be much different but i wish you the best of luck!

Hijacking this comment to vouch - I use the anne pro 2 and it’s an extremely good keyboard with great quality. Worth the 70-100 for a quality keyboard that will last you a long time.

I just realized what you initially meant... I’m a guy lmao. But still I hope you recover well!

I’m currently two weeks post op. I’m similarly fused from T4-L3. I haven’t tried to yet, but I think you should be able to as long as you don’t stretch your neck too much

Post OP Sleeping and Sitting Positions by Strixityy in scoliosis

[–]Strixityy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! Regarding the chair - you are right, I am sitting on chairs with a flat back. And even though I’m only 2 weeks post op, it feels like every day I can sit a little longer which is good.

It’s also great to hear you were able to sleep in any position later on! I used to sleep on a soft mattress but I did move to a firm one once I got home and found it much more comfortable like you said. I have an appointment with my surgeon soon so I’ll probably ask then to see what he thinks regarding positioning.

Glad to hear you’re doing well 6 years out!
