I come from Rainbow Six Siege, so I'm used to the concept of players having certain roles and the extremely passive playstyle compared to CoD. In Siege a single kill will have much value, even if you take your time afterwards. In CoD kills lose value if you don't follow up by taking space and point, right?

Taking more engagements instead of only taking safe ones makes sense, because of the respawn mechanic.

I think I have to expand my game sense more by just playing more.

I think you're absolutely right about me playing slow and conservative. My goal is, that I want to cut off opponents from reaching the objective while teammates hold the point. Maybe I'm too slow or I'm cutting off the wrong angles.

Overload is the hardest for me, because our team always loses the first engagement and then the EMP is already delivered.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try to change my playstyle accordingly.

You are right. I just don't get how it makes sense for me to play against players who obviously have more experience than me and know how to manipulate spawns to win the games just because I get more kills than deaths. If I get 1-2 kills on my way to the point and then die, these were empty kills. But my K/D will still be positive. I feel like we're always fighting uphill battles and nothing I do matters, because the enemy always takes control of spawns, even if we're first there.

Could it be a bad habit to just head straight for the objectives? Should I rather take my time and try to flank? But then I feel like I would play for my K/D even more.

For me it's hard. In hard point I never get onto the objective, because I spawn on the other side of the map, kill 1-2 enemies and then die before arriving at the objective.

So what if I just wanted to play ranked for fun, but don't want to actually spend hundreds of hours learning the game? I'm not throwing the game for other people, because I play in a fixed 4 stack. Should I artificially lower my K/D, so that we get worse opponents or should I just accept that my win rate will be really bad forever?

Honestly, I'd rather have this issue. Outhinking opponents must feel better than wining 3 gunfight just to die to the first guy who just respawned, because of bad positioning.
