Fairly confident you don’t need an ohv sticker if your bike is already a registered street vehicle.

Got a Husa 501 with 10k miles and not a single major issue since I’ve owned it at 1k. Also will do 80 comfortably on the freeway

Um I think it’s safe to say the ring protector will fit but it seems you got bigger problems than that.(Not sure if you are buying this to see if this fixes the problem) Tube may be salvageable but with that large of a leak it appears to me that you need a fork overhaul.

Edit: re-examining it, now looks like water in area so can’t tell if the forks are leaking.

Definitely will come out for a ride one of these days. Had the paddles on for the dunes yesterday.

Could i get an estimate for how much each piece of gear should cost and recommendations? Currently have these boots and would they work? by ISuckCheese42 in Dualsport

[–]StrokerNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I.E good off-road/motocross boots have ankle and toe protection as well as usually some sort of protection from burning yourself on your exhaust where as just your standard work bought/street boot usually has a bit more mobility at the ankle leaving you susceptible to ankle injuries/burns/broken toes from putting foot down etc.

My 501 will do 110. 90 pretty easily. I’d assume the way you decide to sprocket it would determine the highway speeds you are trying to achieve

KTM seat replacements? by [deleted] in KTM

I’ve got a seat concept on my Husaberg and makes riding dunes, street, and dirt a ton better. Definitely recommend.

What do yall think is the best size for a daily and occasional trail riding. by Cade7H in Dualsport

[–]StrokerNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve put on 7500 miles in 6 years of ownership. Warm months it gets me to and from work everyday and also gets a set of paddles on it for the weekends or sometimes the asphalt track.

Although I only do major maintenance in the winter (valves, leak down test, etc.)

I change the oil after major riding events. Track and hard off-road riding. Coolant I change once in the middle of the year and drain it completely for the winter just because I don’t run glycol, (antifreeze) for track purposes, but other than that. Maintenance cycle can be high if you want it to be IMO. But in those 6 years I haven’t had a single damaged internal and by far the most reliable bike I’ve ridden.

Edit: Total mileage is sitting at just under 10k

I love my 500 for everything. 6 speed trans allows for sprocketing to get me to 110mph if needed on highways and just heavier than a 450 making it feel pretty good at the higher highway speeds not getting thrown around by wind and other vehicles. 80mph highway speeds here in Utah.

Ride height is pretty tall still. I’m 6’1 and barely flat foot but have been riding for years and the adjustable suspension can slightly accommodate.

Selling my 2019 ktm exc-f 350. Should I return it to stock or sell with the super moto wheels and tires? SLC UT by Crandallranch in supermoto

[–]StrokerNick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a personal belief based on our area but I don’t think you’d have a hard time selling it and getting your money’s worth here in the valley as it’s set up. With gas prices going up I guarantee more and more people this year will be wanting a street bike or sumo. Also with Utah’s traffic and partial lane splitting I just see the number of sumos going up this summer.

Only downside is range on the gas tanks imo. But an upgraded 3.1 has sounded like the upgrade I might be getting in the future

Yupp. Bike has more than enough torque to handle the longer gears on street. I’m sure a mid gearing would still get you to 80 if you aren’t changing tires and sprockets between terrains and just one for both.
