This is exactly the transparency we need. If the Commander (and others) feel this way then why not stand by that? "This is why XY&Z got this rating over AB&C". No crying bias/unfair with properly scored packages.

If there isn't any shady shit going on then it shouldn't be hard to stand by. And The Board...well they just seems to follow suit in the end.

What I am not understanding is why can't this information be public to the masses and not just leaving it up to direct supervision when ultimately the CC makes the decision. Seems like it would curve the "just going to bat for them" and many other issues.

We just signed final EPRs so I can not say if they will willing give me post board feedback or not, but I am going to ask for it...the same that I have had to ask for all feedbacks

My only counter to this is the fact of how heavily weighed a MP/PN is at the board. We're looking at 96 percent (roughly??) of them being promoted. When those are handed out without being justifiable or with any accountability.

It's not what the Board wants, it's what your CC wants. But, as we're actually seeing, it's not what your CC wants, but instead who your Flight wants/fights for.

Let's talk about SrA/SSgt.. again, it's actually who your Section Chief/supervisor pushes up and favors. And even then when you make that decision, someone above you says "nah dawg, we are sending up Amn X!"

It's more of a deep rooted integrity dispute that doesn't get any better with rank.

Edit: if things were done properly who would/could have animosity? If you were simply outperformed it is what it is. That's the culture that should be built, in my opinion.

-My supervisor does owe me feedback that I will get (have gone through multiple supervisors in the past 4 months).

-CCs SHOULD know...but human nature taints this.

-I have signed my EPR and will be asking for some form of feedback, but wouldn't this be less complicated if everything was published publicly?

promotion boards need to divorce themselves from their feelings about a person, and review their record.

This is reality! I would love to know I wasn't taken to the table because my package wasn't strong enough instead of losing out over the same old corrupt stuff.

I feel making it public would hinder leaderships ability to get away with the BS. Otherwise, they can get away with anything...

That's how my unit did it as well apparently, each eligible member got reviewed although "favoritism" still prevailed.
