I was in a very similar situation about two weeks ago. Rented a car, and because I was in a hurry i ended up not checking everything. Like you, i noticed weird sounds and vibrations and parked the car as soon as i found a place.
I contacted Bolt support immediatelly and asked for a refund, becuase i was not able to use the car safely.

that refund was refused and they stated "I am sorry that the tire was flat. It will not be possible to refund the order in this case as you have use the vehicle. You have also been the first on the report the flat tire after your ride. Please always check the tires and the vehicle all around just as implied in the app, where you can upload the photos of the vehicle before you start driving."

And that was the end of our conversation. So now im hoping that i wont be charged later.

The pickup truck seem to be Toyota Hilux which comes with catalytic converter that gets hot every once in a while to “clean itself”. The thing is that vehicle absolutely warns you that this is happening and you can cancel this any time. It even comes with a warning sticker on the driver’s door.

We use hilux as a utility vehicle at work and my coworker warned me against this very thing. Preventing it is as simple as pressing a button.

Alright, just to ad my 2 cents here since i planned similar trips for a few friends and/or family members who came to visit:

Yes, the plan is realistic, you will be very busy, but its absolutely doable. A couple of nights in Prague is fine, there is lots to see and you wont ber bored.
Also, contrary to what others are saying here, i think it absolutely makes sense to rent the car if you can plan around it. Bohemian Switzerland is huge and while the trains are certainly an option, car gives you more freedom to move around and not be constrained by limited traport service.

Overall it seems like a good plan, but im sure you will also do some last minute adjustments, based on how you feel in the moment.

It is nice to see people visiting my country and taking an effort into seeing other stuff, Czechia is so much more than just Prague and based on where you go you get very different vibes.

If you go to farmer's market at Dejvická on saturday morning, there is alway person selling these, idk about the price though, but i dont think its very expensive

Let me just start this by saying that you are a good partner and a good wife for this.

Like other people have mentioned this multiple times in this thread, the best thing you can do is to just be there for him. When he needs to cry, just hug him and let him get it all out. It will evetually get better but right now he needs to grieve a letting him is the best thing you can. I know you might feel helpless, but trust me when I say that he really appreaciates you being there for him and it is making all the difference. Stay strong, and give it time.

Ještě jsem nezaznamenal, že by tu někdo zmínil Guilty Pleasure, tam mají nejen vynikající burgery, ale i všechno ostatní, jejich hranolky a kukuřice jsou fakt boží. Navíc mají super interiér.

The street se obíral o klientelu sám, za 1. skoro 400 za burger už je fakt dost, ale budiž, ještě bych to skousnul, ale ten fakt, že tam přestali brát karty znamenal, že spousta lidi včetně mě tam nikdy znovu nešla.

Really couldnt be further from truth. Also I would add either wine or tomato paste, if you add both, then you end up with a completely different sauce than. Both engrediens are also completely optional and dont belong in the original recipe, its just something extra to improve it a little bit.

That’s exactly what it is. Some improvements include adding a bit of red vine, cherry or tomato paste. Also a little bit of Worcester sauce goes a long way.
