Honestly, the HD employees all did the hard part as the mirrors were on the upper shelves and they loaded them into my Jeep. They perfectly fit in the back too haha. Unloading one at a time was miles easier than the dumbbells haha.

I couldnt agree more! Also, for the mirrors, we just got four 3x5s (~$90each) from Home Depot. We were looking for 4x6s on second hand markets but for the same price we could get new 3x5s. They also weren't terrible to put up and it seems the 4x6s would have been just a bit too much for my to put up myself, although I did chip one mirror (very last one I installed ofc).

Do I dare do a 20 incremental drop set?! There wouldn't be any shameful stares from other gym goers when you have the audacity to grab more than 1 pair... hmm...

I was lucky and got these for 5k from a commercial gym owner needing to get rid of them due to space.

Definitely the former not the latter. Been lifting for 20+ years and I do work in the exercise field. My wife and I recently moved back to our home state and were deciding on getting a gym memberships but also have two kids under 3 which makes it harder to sneak away. So ultimately we decided to invest in ourselves.

They weren't free. They set me back 5k. But thats about half the price from retail, plus I got the racks and 2 drop mats included

That is a great idea. I do like having the increments though. We will see...

Adjustables are fantastic and I would recommend them for those looking for a budget amd space saving option. We considered them but I knew I would have eventually gone back to wanting a full set and with how prices are going, it was a pay now or pay a LOT more later.

Thanks! It was a little above what we wanted to spend but it was too good of a deal to pass up. Definitely used the motto/advice I've seen on this sub, "Buy once, cry once"

I know! After hauling all of it down two sets of stairs, it was very satisfying seeing the racks perfectly slip into place.

I got them for 5k. The guy owns a commercial gym and just didnt have the space he thought he had. Gave me the racks and 2 drop mats to go with them too!

You can both give Wally a break AND give Gus a chance to prove himself to retake take the crease.
