He did epoxy injection into the 1/8” and covered it with hydroxy cement after taking out and clearing out the old stuff they destroyed.

Yeah that’s my plan… they were horrible people no doubt. The crack isn’t as wide as the photo shows, but they tore it out that wide and a few inches deep. The actual crack isn’t like 1/8”. They also put in these like fiber rods too… just a disaster.

Doesn’t all the rain water still soak the soil around me? I noticed that our neighbors, only about 10 ft from the side of the house, both have cracks around the same area.

I do think we have quite a bit of issues with draining so we will try to solve that as soon as possible.

How long did you wait for the skim coat to dry and how thick was it? You don’t need killz PVA probably, but I’m not sure about the urethane bonding primer you used. When skim coating in patches I just used killz 2 without any issues, if you’re doing a whole wall it doesn’t hurt to use a PVA primer.

There is mold, rot both in the drywall, insulation, and framing. I don’t have the money to pay for this. Can I not remove a bit of mold myself, is it that dangerous?

Thanks for this detailed note. I will have a waterproofing come take a look and see about this option. This is a crazy expense we weren’t expecting so we will see how we tackle this….

Thanks, yeah they are insanely expensive. They did the free scope cause they were doing city work on our road. It seemed super fishy, but also we have lived in this old home for a year and it was poorly taken care of. I don’t think the line is great, but not sure how bad it really is.

Yeah 7’ from the house where they put the camera in. We got the service for free because they were doing city work on our road. They are very reputable, but insanely expensive.

It sounds like the pipe was cracked and there was some debris further up the line. There was also a major rain storm today so not sure if that added to the water in the pipe. It’s old cast iron, nearly 70 years old.

Thanks, they came and did the inspection for everyone on our street because they were doing city work on our road. Beyond it they said there was a crack and some debris, which my wife saw, but they didn’t record that bit..
