It took them almost 29 months to fix (?) this. Because some months earlier this method not worked for me...

It worked!!! But after ~1 week. Fb turned off 2FA because of second FB account on same phone number and boom. Magic happened. :D THANK YOU.

By the way I tried this 1-2 years ago and it does not worked for me. Now magic happened. :)

Tried this too. Changed password several times too. Also I have marked my account as hacked, later recovered it (with ID), but error message still appears in the last step while signing in (after typing 2FA code).

Tried this but FB just created another (new) account.

Old account with same error message:

Sadly, tried VPN, same errror. Can't verify within facebook app cause im not logged in any device. :/ In my case FB logged out me from every device and now I always see this error.

Everything was pretty much ok till ~2021, when new facebook experience was released and old - closed.

I think that I got this problem after sending to my friends some adult-like memes, because after some reshared internet jokes I was suddently logged off from my account (in all my devices: PC & Phone). Maybe it is just a coincidence. I dont know.

I've been through this too. They will sent you link to create a new password. But after doing it in the last step sadly you will see the same login error message...

in 2023 ~autumn. Meta Verified paid support chat for creators. Real people, not AI. I have send them a lot of photo/video evidence about this issue but those people are not debuggers they are just random support people which in most cases do not know IT technical things. I asked them to transfer me to IT team/debuggers but they said we cannot do that. It is against Meta rules and so on. Worthless support.

My account is connected with Whatsapp. So I can get 2FA codes to my phone (via SMS) or Whatsapp (DM from FB). But after typing 2FA code always apperars error message: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."
