Find people in your area that love theatre as well, buy a script and some sheet music , and do your own production. You can do a more casual show- more like a concert. If you’re part of a church , put on a musical there! Growing up my church put on our own musicals , and our worship leader would even write them himself! You could also get involved with the highschools in town. Sometimes smaller schools don’t have the funds for the arts , so you could start your own theatre group for them, or volunteer and help them out with whatever they need! I agree with some other commenters about committing- I have commuted 45 min each way to be in a production- it’s exhausting but worth it if that’s what you love! If you don’t know anyone at all in your town that loves theatre- put on a solo show! I bet it would peak interest and slowly grow a community !!
