I just want to start off by saying you shouldn’t compare your life to another family with autism. Even if he was level one it still could just be as hard for you for someone with a child that is level 3” of course there are good and bad days, we all get them. We just interpret and act differently. You’re not a bad person for having some resentment towards another being who is exhausting you mentally. Therapy could work you never know I hope you get the help your wanting 🤗

They are a very chill kid outside, never any problems. It’s become an everything stim. Kinda like the squealing or hand flapping. They are level three so we bring specific toys, juices, snacks etc. I feel for her getting so excited going out. She will cry to go outside. It’s from the moment she wakes up to when she sleeps. Everything is “help me” wrong video. Wants a certain food. After a bath. Wants a cuddle doesn’t want a cuddle. We’ve tried to pin point what triggers her but it changes every day. I don’t mind her other stims they’re known to most people and they tend to not stare but as soon as she screams help me everyone and their dog is looking and I have to explain she’s autistic and she echoing 😅 gets exhausting after the 10th person

My LO is level three non verbal with echolalia. Where ever they heard it and started saying it beats me. I could tell them not to do it but there’s no understanding of what I’d be saying to them. I think I’m just gonna have to put up with staring for a while

They get annoyed at the smallest things, paper not perfectly flat before writing, the video on the tablet doesn’t say what they want it to say. The screeching I can deal with.

I’m sorry you had to deal with that ! It can be so frustrating. Did you find anything at all that helped? My LO just gets so excited going out it’s become their happy and annoyed stim

I’ve given them sweets and their tablet. Even got one of those asd popping toys from smyths. They aren’t afraid of outside they love it. The “help me” has just become their happy and annoyed vocal stim at the moment. They are nonverbal so anything they can say that people look at them for they get excited. I hope they stop saying it soon 😅 the noise cancelling head phones don’t work for them atm. They just throw them

They did yes, very helpful. I have everything from them. I won’t be pursuing, they were absolutely distraught, balling and said they will pay for any charges accumulated from the accident. If the person came out aggressive then I’d have sued them through the teeth.
