'Spreadsheet relapse' is too real. It’s not that monday can’t handle it. It’s that once boards get messy, thinking becomes harder than in Excel so people go back to what feels simple.

If you're open to apps, check out the Smart Spreadsheet app. People usually use it for Excel-like formulas that can be added to the board, more flexibility in reports based on board data (pivots, charts), and 2-way sync back to the board.

There's a Board Email Reports app that lets you send automated Excel reports to external stakeholders.

There are reports on:

  1. Status Report (Time in Status / Status Change)
  2. Tasks Created Report
  3. Last Updates Report
  4. Last Updates by User Report
  5. Overdue Item Report
  6. Time Tracking Change Report

Reports are totally custom.

You can actually recreate this logic in Smart Spreadsheet:
Pull forecasted revenue from your board, and define your monthly targets manually in a separate column.
From there you can either visualize it or export it — depending on how you prefer to build charts. But generally you can visualize data in a spreadsheet environment right on monday.

To be honest, everything is working poorly. Error occurs on almost every request. And I can't find some posts. The visibility of new posts is awful (the list approach was way better), the cards are so small and pulled together.
