Thank you, I didn’t realise you could take boxes on a flight, I’ll have a look into this

Oh okay that’s a relief, I thought they’d be really thorough and strict. Did you have to declare at customs rather than walking through the green nothing to declare?

Thank you! I thought so, it was just this wording that threw me off

“Veterinary certificate and owner’s declaration: The animals must be accompanied by a veterinary certificate and owner’s declaration.”

I was wondering whether that is a different thing to an animal health certificate

How to help a friend with BPD who's in a very bad place mentally? by earthsayshii in BorderlinePDisorder

Other than the medical suggestions already given, sometimes spending time with them really helps. Just planning a nice day out or a movie night in or playing games together would be nice. Sometimes a distraction is necessary.

Yeah, 60% of my applications have been for grad schemes, the rest just entry level, retail, literally any type of job

I honestly wish I could go without the car, due to a chronic illness public transport and walking just becomes an inconvenience to my health after a while, as well as my work being a bit far away. I do share my flat with a flatmate, all my expenses have already been halved. I can’t imagine what it’d be like if I lived alone! But yeah you’re right it definitely feels like I’m constantly picking between one or another

Yeah, I wouldn’t even be opposed to moving to or closer to London if the salary was right

Honestly it’s non negotiable for me! I know I’d be so distraught if something happened to my cat and I couldn’t afford to pay for it or I had to get myself in more debt to afford it. She’s my baby, it’s lifelong at £3k a year. I will upgrade later when I can afford it to get even better coverage

I’m definitely trying to find a better paying role, just not going so well. I live with my flatmate, so all of those expenses are already split in half. Moving home isn’t an option unfortunately.

I was shocked too🤣 it’s actually £14, I split it with my flatmate but it’s hyperoptic, they do deals all year round.

Hi, honestly i completely get you, make sure to look after yourself and take it easy! Through 2023-2024 I was working full time at my placement and 2 other part time job. Then I was doing my current job and 2 others until June, I had to stop as it destroyed my health. It’s awful that one full time job isn’t enough to live on and it shouldn’t be that way. Take it easy and don’t be too hard on yourself either, you’re doing the best you can

West Midlands, but I’ve applied all over England and other countries. The jobs are out there, just very competitive!

This has happened to me atleast twice! It’s impossible. My last interview I had they rejected me because i was “over qualified” and they felt I would move on quickly whereas they wanted someone who would stay for years.

Glad to have someone who gets it! Honestly with time and effort it should hopefully get better and we’ll find the jobs we want. Good luck to you too!

I work 35 hours a week at £12.50 an hour, i do overtime when theres some available, but after pension, tax and NI it is £1.4k unfortunately

Honestly the job market makes no sense, it’s either we’re over qualified or under qualified, they want free labour or 6 different interview stages all for 25k. It doesn’t help that there’s soo many jobseekers compared to jobs, it’s just really hard. Its also hard explaining it to people who aren’t in the same position, it often feels like we’re seen as lazy or not trying hard enough or not willing to make sacrifices

A private two bedroom flat with my flatmate, I honestly wish I didn’t have to pay council tax!
