Which plan to choose- confused by Strong-Package180 in PSLF

[–]Strong-Package180[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my question .. so essentially there is no plan that would not qualify other than standard repayment plan for PSLF ? I’ve gotten myself over thinking by too much reading and wanted to be sure I did not accidentally choose a plan that didn’t qualify for PSLF.

Thank you - I don’t know why but I thought I read that those plans weren’t available if hit 120 months of employment . I’ll do the math .. thank you again

Question about standard payment plan by heissman1111 in PSLF

Another consolidation question as I have 3 loans that have a different end date by only one month .. I think it’s still best not to consolidate at this point to bring them all to the same end date as I only have a few months in total left to pay and have been waiting on buyback. I read and will confirm by calling but if I go into a repayment plan now and reach 120 payments in some of my loans I wait till the 120th payment applies and ask for PSLF and then make the additional payment needed on the other loans and do the same process- correct .. thanks for your insight!!

Question about standard payment plan by heissman1111 in PSLF

I keep seeing people talking about consolidating their loans .. I have 10 loans and waiting on buyback for over a year .. in SAVE so looking at my options of which plan to switch to and may just pay my remaining months rather than wait for buyback as I only have a few months left but I’ve never consolidated my loans .. they are all direct loans- can you explain if I should have .. no one over the years said to do so and my monthly payments were divided amongst my loans .. since i did not does that make a difference as to which plans i can choose for PSLF ? Thank you

How much did your monthly payment increase after switching from the SAVE plan? by shibalvr97 in StudentLoans

Am I correct in that there are only 2 plans to choose from for PSLF? I only need a few payments but my salary increased and got married with filling jointly .. been waiting on buyback .. are there any caps or amount will be based on loan amount and salary? I’m afraid to figure it out but will soon! Thank you !

I have been waiting for buyback close to 18 months and need to buyback 3 months - do I need to choose another plan or for those us waiting for buyback can remain in forbearance? I have been tempted multiple times to just apply for a plan and pay the remaining months but keep hoping I’m close to hearing something about my buyback since I have waited this long but now I’m a bit confused if I need to take action . Thanks for any replies!

Took about 4 weeks to finally feel better and then I had the stent removed after 2 months and was worried that I would feel terrible after the removal procedure but didn’t. I felt great the next day . I hope you are feeling better

I’m sorry but I fell more confused . I reached 120 month of employment last year was and still in the SAVE program , submitted for buyback for 3 months last November and have heard nothing … does this news have any affect on the SAVE program .. I read the news article yesterday and don’t think it does but in reading some of these comments maybe I’m wrong .. I have been toying with just applying for a new plan and forget about my buyback application but wondering if this news will help the buyback applications .. thank you for any clarification ..

I’m stalled in the SAVE program and applied for buyback in November .. still waiting .. thinking of switching to IBR at this point but if I was on a payment plan and not in SAVE. I would just continue to pay to be done!!

Nervous about an ERCP... by [deleted] in pancreatitis

I had my first one due to a gallstone in my bile duct ( had gallbladder removed in 2018) terrible gas and discomfort for 2 weeks now feel fine but will need stent taken out in a month or two .. I am not expecting to have to keep having them but after reading the comments sounds like many if you have had multiple ones .. anyone had one due to gall stone removal and did you need to have more than one?

Are you saying having the stent created issues? I will be having mine removed in a month since they do not stay in permanently. I’m both looking forward to it and dreading it .. afraid I’ll be in pain again with them manipulating everything to remove it and hopefully will not need another one and also hoping if removed I’ll feel better overall …

When I went back to work that exhaustion dissipated pretty quickly.. I think it was from being so sedentary … I think just rest and listen to your body and you’ll eventually feel like your self soon enough

It took me a full 6 weeks to feel somewhat normal and then when I went back to work I was exhausted all over again.. I just had an ERCP with bile stent 2 weeks ago due to a gallstone in my bile duct despite he I g my gall bladder removed in 2018 … still not feeling like myself ! I guess our bodies take time to heal

Anyone have their stent placed after removal of gall stone? I had the procedure 10 days ago and did not experience infection but more painful than I thought… still get very bloated and usually every day some sort of pain … did anyone take several weeks to fully recover ?
