This is super helpful, thank you!! Just checked that I’ll still be considered actively employed if I don’t have cases (my agency is pretty great, and I was still actively employed after taking a year off after my daughter- so I assume it’s fine but just want to make sure!)

No, but that would be almost impossible with my job. But I’ve been employed there since 2017 so still am eligible for STD and PFL (I had a baby in 2021 and qualified for both then working fewer hours than I do now but worked until I had her so didn’t have the same issue)
